Well, fans…! The 2011 TIME 100 Gala is tonight in New York City, and not only will our Man be there with bells on to walk that Red Carpet, Clouds will be there to support him, outside. We can barely stand the excitement of what might happen… And we really hope Rain was able to get some R&R in yesterday, maybe take in a Yankees game after some sightseeing? [*Edited to Add 4/28: Yep, that’s what he did all right. Haha! Wonderful! ^@@^]
Also, there are only two more days to vote for the MTV-sponsored O Music Awards category Best Fan Army, so come on, let’s represent and show some Cloud support! See you later on, everyone!

You know. I just read Scorpiola’s fan account of the TIME 100 Gala red carpet moment. It kind of “ticked me off” how there seemed to be a “dismissing of CloudUSA” on Scorpiola’s part.
The statements made: “There was someone holding a sign that said Cloud-USA or something,” “We figure they would scream and that would let us know Rain had arrived.”……….WTH??!!! they seemed to dismiss CloudUSA and then USED CloudUSA’s excitement to alert them when Rain came on the carpet so they could get choice coverage. As if CloudUSA was just some random people with holding a sign and not an organization of fan Clouds. They claim to have met up with other Clouds, but I’m not sure it was CloudUSA’ers.
I HAD TO leave a comment to let them KNOW exactly who CloudUSA was, in case they DIDN’T know. I Wasn’t Rude, but the CONDENSION in the write up pissed me off a little. I invited anybody who didn’t know CloudUSA to please come and check out the blog, fansite and forum for all things Rain. It’s a great place. Again, I wasn’t rude, just matter of fact. I had to let them know CloudUSA was actually interviewed by Korean TV……”OK.”
Heck…….don’t “B” condescending towards CloudUSA, now!!

I see you made your comment on 6to51982 (or now Endless Rain).
I don’t think Scorpiola meant to be rude in her article. I just think she and her friends saw that because of where the Cloud USA members were positioned, they would likely be the first ones to see Rain arrive. And what’s the first thing Clouds do when they see Rain? They scream. And then that would alert the rest of the Clouds that he was in da house.
And you gotta admit, they DID scream, right? LOL.
I gotta hand it to Scorpiola and her friends–they sure did get some really good shots of him when he got around to them. And they ran around like crazy people to get even more. LOL. And then they stayed late and waited for him to come out of the event. What troopers.
I would recommend that you post a similar comment on Scorpiola’s post on Rain Legend and on The Cloud–just so everyone will know who all of the people were at the event that were mentioned in the article that Scorpiola didn’t recognize.
And thank you for promoting Cloud USA. We think it’s a very nice place too. :-}

You are G-o-o-d…….I did as you asked and made those mentions on the corresponding posts on THE CLOUD fan site. One post belonging to Ratoka and one post belonging to Scorpiola (Stephe had already commented on that one, so I didn’t add too much more). As far as the Rain Legend site, you must sign up to post, not sure if want to do that just now. But I did comply as you suggested (mostly)……….SMILES!

Hey Stephe, I have a question, Rain’s concert 2007 at the Dome, the dance he performed was it called: Drunken Kung Fu or Drunken Master? on You Tube it says Drunken Kung Fu, And they said that Rain called it that because it would be disrespectful to Jackie Chan to call it Drunken Master because of Jackie’s Movie.

Being a martial arts student years ago, I’ve always called it Drunken Fist (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Zui_Quan ). And during those times, Rain and the news media and interviewers all called it Drunken Fist (or the Drunken Fist dance) too, in his interviews and stuff, which was accurate because it came from Drunken Fist kung fu and became synonymous with Jackie Chan and his movies about it. I honestly haven’t heard about Rain calling it a certain thing because he didn’t want to disrespect Jackie. That could be, but I’ve never heard it… As easy-going as Jackie is, I can’t imagine him being annoyed by anyone referring to it as Drunken Master or whatever name people decided to use anyway… heheh.

Edited to Add: Like right here, during The Cutest Rain Interview Ever by The Cutest Interviewer Ever (Jung Rin) where Rain got socked in the face twice because she wanted him to teach her Drunken Fist. ROFL! I’ll never flipping get tired of this thing. LMAO

Hi, lotus. Are you talking about one of your Support Board messages?
As I understand it, the site is set to just randomly choose fresh comments from the Rain Support Board and display them on the front page. After a while (a few weeks), it will choose three more, and yours will disappear. There is no rhyme or reason to it that I know of.

BiA, I’m glad you spoke up, or I might not have realized something was wrong.
Calling all peeps! In the past few days, WordPress has been doing improvement tinkering and adding new posting options to everyone’s blog admin dashboard, and apparently that caused a glitch or two and the Comments option was turned off on some posts without our knowledge.
I’m going through now to make sure that all the posts for the past two days have comments enabled (I’ve already had to correct two of them). If you happen to run across a post here where you can’t leave a comment, please drop us an email so we can turn that back on.

Thanks for letting me/us know. I was thinking that maybe those “comments off” posts were probably off, because they might generate some strong opinions. I wasn’t offended or anything, I just felt like you ladies might have been trying to keep the “turbulence” of opinions down. Since this is your blog, you have every right to do so and I totally had no problem with it whatsoever. I just didn’t want to be a “problem child.” (SMILES)

I hope the posts where comments are off is not because of opinionated peeps (like me). I realized after some of the excitement (that “Bi crack”) of the TIME 100 has worn off, that my posts may have come off too strong. I was very “passionate” in my opinion as were some of the other ladies. This blog “feels like family” and I have a tendency to forget that even though most of us are English speakers not everybody is from the U.S. and may not “appreciate” my “opinion speak” and also some of us are under 21.
For my part, I’m trying to “reign it in” (Really, Really hard) now moreso than ever, because visitors to your blog and forum are growing by the day. I don’t personally want to be a detractor for anybody coming to know Sweet Bi….Baby Love (to me). So on those posts that I feel like my head might “pop off” I may not comment. In my case……it would be best!……(BIG SMILES)
Not trying to be “Debbie Downer” just want to be clear from my perspective….tis all. (SMILES)

Cloud sisters Lotus and Marisara inspired me to start doing, in earnest, what they did this week. They have been contacting various media outlets and asking them to consider Bi in their coverage. I will begin to increase my efforts. I just sent an email to JustJared blog and asked Jared (a fellow Asian BTW….not that it really matters) to PLEASE include Rain on his list of celebrities to cover. I mentioned that Bi was at last nights Gala, as he was the landslide winner of the online poll at TIME and he has pics with Sting and Bruno Mars from the event. I also mentioned that I am a part of his fan “army” of Clouds and a part of Cloud-USA, as well as a new member of Bi’s Official Fan site (The Cloud) in Korea.
Will he (Jared) consider my request? I don’t have a clue, but his blog is VERY MAINSTREAM (not that ours isn’t) and celebrity driven and celebrity positive. That’s Jared’s “schtick” never to do derogatory posts about celebs and that’s why he has such a following. Of course some of the commenters/netizens are “silly little you-know-whats” but I really don’t read too many comments of others. I only read comments on this site really. You have to know when Immaturity is involved and steer clear. Jared does cover overseas entertainers too. You will see popular British artists/actors (Lilly Allen, all Spice Girls, Jay Sean, Keira Knightley, Jude Law of course), German artists (someone named Billy Kaulitz). He doesn’t do a lot of posts of overseas artists, but STILL……..worth a try, huh?
Anyway, I’m gonna try to do that little “blue cloud” proud……(SMILES)

BiA, this is just what Rain needs… for us to make some “good noise” over here on his behalf. Only when enough people descend on the media and make a real demand for him in physical numbers will things shift the way they should.

Oh, we have to keep pushing on Times so they understand this is not a passing wave. I think we posted enough numbers in their twitter account the night of the gala to make a strong presence and I think we validated those 496,000 votes we made. It’s a good start and we made MTV USA to look at Rain for their market so I think this is good but we have to keep it up. As Terri said, physical numbers is the way to make them pay attention to Rain’s career.
