Earlier today, hellokpop.com reported that MBLAQ’s Lee Joon had been hospitalized after becoming ill during preparations for his appearance on February 13th’s episode of SBS’s Inkigayo. BNT News has now reported that his illness was due to some type of cochlear dysfunction. The exact type of cochlear dysfunction he is experiencing has not yet been revealed.
A representative from J.Tune Camp said, “Lee Joon is currently receiving treatment in the hospital after suddenly vomiting. He has a cochlea disorder, but the results have shown that his condition is not severe. Thank you to those who are concerned.”
The cochlea is the auditory portion of the inner ear. Disorders of the cochlea can lead to vertigo, which can bring on sudden episodes of vomiting, like the one Joon experienced backstage at SBS.
Everyone here at hellokpop.com hopes Joon is resting well and sends him their best wishes for a speedy recovery.

Hope all the members of MBLAQ get well soon. While it sucks that all of this is happening while they are doing promotion for their new album, but their health is first priority.

Wow, sad to hear about Joon and hope he (and Mir) recovers soon. First Mir and now Joon, I hope they don’t get discouraged. MBLAQ needs to hang in there, and keep persevering 화이팅!… They’ve been patient and have waited long for this point. Hope they don’t get bum’d and just take the necessary break for everyone to get healthy (and stay that way), and then back on the road. Everyone will be waiting. 🙂

This is true. My husband has had this inner ear issue too! Although he does not “lose his lunch” suddenly like Joonie, he has become very dizzy on occasion suddenly and had to grip the wall just to steady himself, so it can happen in healthy people. These guys must be reading all my family’s medical histories because damn if somebody in MBLAQ doesn’t get something, we get. Stop It Already!……(SMILES)

Those poor guys are having a bumpy start on their album, I really hate to hear about Lee Joon but at least its nothing major, hurry and get well. 🙂

Is sad that after so much work two of the five boys of Mblaq are sick. This put a lot of pressure on the boys that are still doing presentations but there’s nothing that can be done. If you are sick, you are sick and both boys are down not for being careless but coz that’s life. Let’s hope Mir and Joonie can recover and be back soon. They are in my prayers.
