Rain wins World Star Grand Prize, will perform at the Seoul 2011 Art Awards ceremony.
[Cloud USA 2/9/2011] — It’s time for the » 2nd Republic of Korea Seoul 2011 Art Awards (2011 제2회 대한민국 서울문화예술대상 시상식), an annual SAC (Seoul Art Technical College) event where the » Seoul Cultural Art Grand Prize is bestowed upon those artists who have excelled in Korean Pop culture.
Rain (Jung JiHoon) has won the World Star Grand Prize for singing and acting, SNSD (Girls Generation) the Popular Singer Grand Prize, Kang Eun-Kyung the Dramatist Grand Prize, Lee SooMan of SM Entertainment has won the Popular Music Producer Grand Prize, and Jun DoYon has won the Movie Actress Grand Prize, to name a few. In addition to more Grand Prizes being handed out during the first part of the ceremony, the second part will be a celebration of various artistic performances.

AND WORLD STAR TO aSIA GOLBE THANK GOD FOR HIM WHO EXTREAMLY GIVE SO MUCHfor this country wilde they finally give our rain for this award perfect man and only rain can pursuit much then any other entertinment. i so proud that they finally have rain for who he very is and that is true about this he put so much dicate work and work his way to explore alot idol amdire him and singer who bring such new industrie poplauritly by him and an best actor who truly versitle ect… he have such goos heart in peoples and he did his outstanding in his stage he show the world what hardful come across him rain challange so many thing in his life and all this award he get is a well honor to him yet to other for rain role model as well.

seriously, they certainly did give the “World Star Grand Award” to the perfect person. the man burst on the scene in Korea and just keep on coming. reminds me of listening to him sing “I Believe I can Fly”
Fly he did and everywhere he went, folks wanted to know about his country. he has certainly done more than any Korean entertainer to open up the curiousity of all things Korean. got people studying the language, eating the food, hunting down the music.
watching kdramas more even even sending out Korean holiday greetings, hahahaha

I am very happy for him. No other performer deserves this award more than Rain. Before knowing him all I knew about Korea was the war, now I know about his people, his music, his culture and all because of Rain. Now I love his country and would love to go there some day. Thank you baby Rain, love ya!!!
