Taiwanese actor Jay Chou commented on his fellow Asian actors advancing into Hollywood at a press conference for his movie, “Green Hornet 3D,” held at the Shilla Hotel in Seoul.
A reporter asked, “Kwon Sang Woo could have been cast for your role, how do you think that influences the movie’s success or failure?“, to which he replied, “As a fellow Asian actor, no matter who goes to film a movie in the Hollywood market, it is an inspiring and amazing act.”
He also stated, “I have seen Rain’s Hollywood films. As an Asian actor, I hope to appear in more Hollywood films alongside Rain.”
A reporter then mentioned that his monolids gave off a strong gaze, just like Rain’s, to which Chou replied to the amusement of the rest, “I’m very different from Rain. I can’t dance as well as he does, and I don’t have muscles.”
He continued, “But I have worked hard to create many amazing action movies. I hope the Korean audience will watch them.”
Chou concluded, “A lot of Asian actors are working hard to make their mark in Hollywood, and comparing such efforts is meaningless. I don’t think I have the peace of mind to think of such things.”
Chou and his castmates arrived in Korea on the 18th for a three-day promotional period. The group will be returning to Taiwan on the 20th.

CURSE OF THE GOLDEN FLOWER IS THE BEST MOVIE EVER MADE…PERIOD.
the scenery in that film is BEYOND WORDS. no american film could ever compare. surprisingly i found the dvd at the Dollar General for $4! crazy but i snatched it up real quick and this lady asked me about it. i harped on how amazing it was of course.
newho when i saw the previews for the green hornet i told ppl i thought he looked a heck of a lot like the guy who placed prince jai in golden flower (though most ppl think asians look the same…i dont!) AND I was Right!
just today i told a coworker of mine from Birmingham, Eng that i was gona let him borrow Ninja Assasin and Curse of the Golden Flower.
Im soo happy Jay and Rain are setting the bar for asain men actors in Hollywood. first ninja assassin, then warriors way, now green hornet……..hmmm Hollywood are u finally listening??? now we just gota work on the roles they give to BLACK WOMEN! but just one step at a time…were all going towards a common goal

Curse of the Golden Flower was/is truly one great watch. i pretty much watched it for Chow Yun Fat (hope that’s the correct spelling), since i was just becoming aware of him.
here’s a thought that came to mind….(could Hollywood be looking for 8 more CLAN representatives)???? that would truly be an awesome thing to see all the clans introduced by way of another, let’s say (Ninja Clans, or something like that). maybe say in about 2 years or so. hummmm

i read that Jay is also a film producer. he is talented in his own right and i admire his response about the comparison. very intelligent answer and sounds like something Rain would say as well.
not a fan of his, but i respect him for his work.

Jay is getting great reviews as Kato sooo I decided to see the movie. I can’t stand the guy who is doing the Green Hornet’s character but I am gonna take my chances. LOL!!! Jay got extra points in my agenda when he talk soo nicely about Rain and other asian actors. That’s the way you answer to a sneaky question!! Go Jay!!!

I love that movie!!! Didn’t know Jay was in it. Those ancient costumes change people so much that I didn’t recognize him. Jay did very good in that movie; his acting was memorable and the mother’s too. What I really love about the movie is the beauty of the costumes, the palace and the way it reflects the time period and their way of living in the palace. I would love to see Rain doing a period movie just once. Hummm, the possibilities!!! O.O

I am not that familar with Jay but I think he is cute and appear to be very talented. I loved how he thinks highly of Rain and wants to work alongside him in a moivie. I loved how he pointed out that basically if any Asian acotr or actress play a part in a Hollywood movie it is a win for the Asian community. Also, how it is meanless to compare. All of that was well stated. Curse Of The Golden Flower theme song is hot and the video. It would be nice maybe to see him and Rain in a movie.

Oh my god, Jay was SO good in Curse of the Golden Flower. Soooo good…! Big brother Prince Jin with the Golden armor, protecting his mom without fail… *swoon*
And the fact that he played and sang my favorite song from the movie… *swooning again* Chrysanthemum Flower Bed is one of the most beautiful songs I’ve ever heard in my life.
(It will only play on YouTube, but who cares? Just gorgeous.)

guy i am not sure u know much about Jay chou but as for me he a numerous famous singer and actor in Twianese Entertinment i even have his DVD Concert back then i have watch his Dubbed the “Asian King of Pop,” Chou has been a top-selling artist since his debut album in 2000. He is an award-winning actor, director, composer and pop star. His fan base throughout Asia is immeasurable.
i actually have quite of his CD and he movie Golden Flower ahahahahah waht a news!!
also he was just having a concert Friday 31 December 2010 in LA damit i miss his concert i have that newpager he was here in U.S. however he is my farviote singer and actor oh boy not to mentiong he wanted to have a movies with this differnly BE AWESOME flim ever gotta agreed with him on that i do wanted him furture flim together jay cjou is an good actor i have see most of his drama and movies yeah please reconsidering this to happen i do wanted to see them together it will be hotness flim to watch also thees 2 are a singer and actor too wooooooooooooooooooot
