Remember, back in the summer, right after Rain won the 2010 MTV Movie Award for his absolute Baddassery? Yeah? When MTV USA made him and his Golden Popcorn statuette buzzworthy?
Going back and reading the very cool write-up that they did on him (illegally handsome Renaissance man!) and the resulting comments made me grin like some fool all over again.

Get To Know Rain, Biggest Badass Star at the MTV Movie Awards
If you’re not a fan of martial-arts movies or Korean pop music (aka “K-pop“), you might have been scratching your head when some dude named Rain walked away with the golden popcorn for Biggest Badass Star (beating out ANGELINA JOLIE!) at the 2010 MTV Movie Awards. So for those of you unfamiliar with Rain, let us introduce you to one of Korea’s most talented exports. For those of you who ARE familiar with Rain … LET’S TALK ABOUT HOW AWESOME HE IS!
Over the past eight years, Rain has risen to superstar status in his native Korea, thanks to an über-successful singing, dancing, modeling and acting career. The illegally handsome Renaissance man got caught, however, in the U.S. hype machine last year when….

i am so happy that they have a good writeup about rain he WELL DERSERVED this jardworking award then any other can makeing to his GOLD and fair to his actiong i am so impressive that rain have more exposer to U,S. he very won Ninja Assassin ~BADASSer… yeah that right rain did most of his 99>% and he even hard traing for this awersome moive to it a high quitly u can see… i was so happy hearing he won this award actualluy i was their where rain at the MTV in LA the nigh he won ti was their OMG!! i was about to jump crazy & excited when i won this!! APPLUSE to his dream come true.. world star rain known as supass in his work the effort it wellalso he not just a indeed person but he also trun fan and aduince from head over heel of his LIVE perforamc reder concert ot performs he STOLE the SHOW!!

I remember Rain winning this award but I did not know who he was. I remember saying to myself who is Rain. I was like I don’t know who he is but he is cute or hot. I thought his joke then was funny. It took me untill this year to really discover who Rain was. I wish I had known of him sooner. But better late than never. I am so happy I found him.

That is exactly how I feel myself. I could just kick myself for taking so long to discover him.
I found out about Rain in November 2009, right before Ninja Assassin came out, when Stephe quietly mentioned him to me. Unbelievably, she kept him all to herself for like 5 years before she shared him with me. However, I totally understand why she didn’t mention him though. I was going through a terrible terrible time, and so she wasn’t bothering me with anything extraneous. It wasn’t until afterward, when I was settled into my new life and looking for new distractions that she mentioned him to me. So, it’s not totally her fault, okay? *clears throat* In fact, the first time she mentioned him quietly to me, I totally blew her off.
I’m like, a what? Huh? A Korean singer? You’ve got to be kidding…
Sigh. I’m SUCH a doofus. *head to desk*.
