Rain cleared of embezzlement charges
Singer and actor Rain has been cleared of charges of embezzlement, according to the Seoul Central Prosecutors’ Office on Thursday.
A fabric manufacturing company had filed a lawsuit against Rain and executives of his agency J.Tune Entertainment in April, saying that they had suffered financial losses due to J.Tune’s fashion affiliate J.Tune Creative.
The plaintiff claimed that it invested two billion won in the fashion firm but that Rain and other shareholders of J.Tune Creative embezzled their money by falsely registering the company’s stock assets worth 2.5 billion won and claiming Rain’s modeling fees worth two billion.
However, prosecutors ruled that it found the fabric company’s accusation on J.Tune Creative falsely registering the company’s stock assets as false and that Rain’s modeling fees of 2.2 billion during three years was not excessive.
Meanwhile, prosecutors indicted two officials at J.Tune for embezzling 900 million won of the firm’s money used to acquire a larger stake in the agency.
Rain, whose real name is Jung Ji-hoon, is considered one of the most successful Korean stars in the entertainment business.
He has lead a popular singing career throughout Asia and has expanded his acting career into Hollywood, appearing in action film “Speed Racer” and martial arts picture “Ninja Assassin” last year.
He had also been the largest shareholder of J.Tune from 2007 until July of this year when he sold off all of his shares in the company and instead recently asked his former trainer and producer Park Jin-young of talenthouse JYP Entertainment to take charge of the agency starting next year.

Where have I been lately…not here for sure…so much has been going on that I dont know about. Sorry you have been haivng problems Lotus and hope you are back on track and wish you all the best in 2011. Same to for all of you ladies here. I shall make a point of checking this site daily in 2011.
I have been trawling the shops here and in Thaailand for Rain merchandise but I must say that of the two countries, Thailand was a big disappointment…nothing…not even a CD. ON ebay you can buy lots if Kpop merchandise but there are no shops in Haadyai that sell kpop stuff apart from the department stores. Malaysia is cheaper and they carry more things but Kuala Lumpur has Korea Town and Korea Avenue shopping areas but we arent going to KL this time around….it’s too busy a place.
I am still a big fan of Rain and have managed to not read any defamatory remarks or news areticles about him. Anyone who is a fan and knows about Rains work ethnics would not question his character in any way. You only need to watch how he makes soemthing to know of his character in person. I have read only headlines and have dismissed them straight away if they were of a negative nature. People who dis other people for wanting to beleive only the good should be the ones to be blocked from sites…mind you I dont think that other person was a genuine fan really. Maybe she was just there to make trouble. Honestly, why make the world a harder place to live in for others..what is the deal with her. Lotus, please keep supporting this site and other genuine Rain fan sites.

Terri and Stephe, Thank you ladies so much for understanding and checking it out for yourself, And I also see why JiHoon will get a rest from the military, and its so sad. I do still have you ladies on Facebook but didn’t know who was doing the writing there so I didn’t say anything cause I didn’t want to be blocked from their also. If there is some way to talk to any of you I would love it! But I don’t want anyone else to have any problems.

Hi Stephe, just thought I would check back and I am so happy you saw what I wrote. In all fairness you ladies here at cloudusa are great and not responsible, Jax knows about this ask her! My email settings have not changed after the nasty remarks made by a so called cloud on another site about Rain and his best friend Baek-Ga and I defended them I was blocked and wordpress told me that I was but did not give a reason,I never cussed or used and words demeaning however the other person did! She was very nasty towards Rain and made nasty remarks about his manhood. But then again she said she had been a fan since 03 it should not matter but it does. I’ve even been block out of THE CLOUD. I miss you ladies but this is out of my control. If this can be changed I would only stay with cloudusa because this was wrong very wrong.

How does a FAN make nasty and demeaning remarks toward the person they’re a FAN OF? Damn, that’s a new one on me. It’s pretty normal to be bothered or irritated by them at some point, sure, and to express your irritation, certainly. But to vilify them because you “have the right”? Hooo-kay. Whatever.
We’ll put you on all our written lists, so you’re there whether you show up on the Internet ones or not.

I’m so very happy for Jung, and I can believe someone in his camp would steal from him just as others in his camp are not wishing the best for him but to harm him and undermine his work. God Bless him and keep him safe. And I miss you ladies CLOUDUSA RULES!! To others stay with cloudusa and away from other blogs or you’ll be BLOCKED out like me! What do you mean by this, lotus? (Am I reading this wrong?) Are you saying you’re being kept out or something, somehow? I really want to know. Up to this point, we’ve never had to “block” or “ban” or “delete” any subscriber from the blog for ANY reason whatsoever — nobody’s done anything wrong for us to do such a thing. In fact, we totally put the decision of whether a CloudUSAer gets updates and notices and when and how completely in their hands, so that everyone would be comfortable and not controlled like that by us. Did you check your email subscription settings? Only Terri and I have the admin authority to block a person, and we’ve never had to do that.
In fact, the other day I was just asking, Has anyone seen lotus lately? It’s been a long time… I hope she’s okay and still on the Internet?? because I missed your comments.
Terri and I created Cloud USA to introduce new fans to who Rain is, to HELP other Rain fan sites and forums in the U.S. to grow his fan base here and make the U.S. media even more aware of him and his talents. To join in the fight with other sites on Rain’s behalf, because only with high numbers will he succeed here. NOT to COMPETE with them, take fans away from other sites, or any other such disgusting behavior. It’s not about us. It’s ALL about Rain and giving English-speaking fans another place to go and to shout out sister fan sites so that people will check them out too. We’ve got every Rain site known to man in our sidebar, even the ones that DON’T like us, so that everyone can belong wherever they choose to.
We would NEVER ever expect or ask anyone to stay away from other fan sites in order to belong here. (Other sites do that, and we weren’t about to be like them.) Seriously?? That would be nasty and unacceptable, and downright unbelievable. I wouldn’t belong to a site like that. I’d tell them to shove it and flip them off with a quickness. That’s not right.
Rain fans should spread over as many sites as they can so that knowledge of JiHoon continues to spread and we are all one. Know what I mean? And that’s what HE would want.
Please check your Email settings. We haven’t blocked you (and there’s no reason for me to lie about it because it’s my site and frankly I can do whatever I want). This is really upsetting. Why didn’t you just send an email and ask if there was a problem?

Okay. I have just seen (in our site email, and in our BbaekGa/Rain friendship post thread) a comment from you that better explains what you meant by this. That someone else blocked you, not us. (For God’s sake, I wish you’d said that from the get-go, girl!)
And I believe it, too, because I went and checked our WordPress subscribers list for Cloud USA and you’re no longer on it, though we didn’t take you off of it. What the hell?

hummmm….isn’t that just something. i know just the remarks you are talking about because i responded to that as well in support of Rain. that site supposedly has rules but that comment stayed there long enough for others to see it and get livid about it.
(and it’s not the first or second time for that person)
i checked on it after reading your and my comments, just to see how long it would take to be removed. but, i do think as i said there’s some mental issues going on with that person. i mean real mental. that’s the one who should be blocked because you never know when another offensive post will pop up from them. so sorry that happened to you. anyway, we are glad to see.

I´m happy for him. He looked worried about all this problems around him. Now he can start fresh on this one. the truth is that since he is so talented and so kind hearted people always going to try to screw him over. i think that´s what park was trying to warn him about. To work in this business sometimes you have to be tough. But the reason we love Jung Ji-Hoong is due to his wonderful character. I hope things of this nature won’t change him as a person. Keep doing what you do best Rain. Fighting!!!!!

it amazes me that Rain was even able to continue working and smiling under such circumstances. i just don’t know how he did it. case after case, every since he started out on his own.
and even StarM tried suing him and lost. just makes me wonder if someone was in the background causing all of this nonsense.
i can understand more fully now, why Ji-Hoon says this MS will be like a vacation to him. he definately needs a break from it all. my heart aches to think of all that he has had to endure all the way back to when he first started to pursue his dream as a teenager.

This is terribly sad too. It’s very sad when someone thinks going in to military service is going to be a “break.” Then again, I understand what he’s saying. When you’re a soldier you just do what people tell you to do. (Unless you’re an officer, which he won’t be…). And there’s lots of physical training, which he will enjoy probably. And they do feed you oretty well.
Ooh…I wanna see some camo photos…Sigh.

was just watching how all the other cases are falling one by one in Rain’s favor. mr. kim (loses based on a lie and altered documents of a case he had already lost): a Hawaii investor loses case against Rain (and has to pay $800,000): court finds in favor of Rain regarding)small group of investors claiming Rain’s direlection of duty) this one was associated with Rain selling his shares and even reducing his pay to try and appease these investors. and now this one, which i was wondering about. “Le Cle” the fabric company. i see several people were indicted here, that’s good because this is the case where Rain lost $2mil (in modelling fees, even though the fees were put in up front to cover his pay). those two it was reported, that the missing funds were tracked all the way to their own bank accounts.

i doubt that we will. if you notice Korean news doesn’t even allow you to see the faces of criminals when they report crimes (always covered up), unless high profile (like the late president Rho and his family). plus have you noticed how they refer to “A” or “B” but never names. hummmmm
i think it’s to keep down exposure to the family members cause it seems citizens there can be very cruel to extended family members once they learn about something like that taking place in a family. plus they seem to be so concious of family rumor as a sign of importance in their society. (in other words, the less rumor the better they are looked at in society). at least that’s what i see and of course i could be wrong.

I was not aware of this law suite but I am so darn extremely happy for Rain. This is one for Rain. You know I am still confuse about the partnership between JYPE and JTE. Maybe Rain is asking for JYPE to come in and run the company because of things like this. He wants someone he feels has the business know how and someone he can trust while he is gone. He has said in past interviews that he often still asked JYP for business advice. I am so happy for this win for him. Hopefully he will win all his legal battles.
