Lovely Clouds,
This is the first post in Cloud USA‘s Meet-Up Groups topic.
In January 2011, we will be starting a meet-up group here in Atlanta for all of the Clouds who live here locally and who would like to get together for regular face-to-face fan meetings. We are doing this because we truly believe that face-to-face meetings are critical in growing and solidifying Rain’s fan base here in the United States, and in helping him achieve his goal of becoming a world star.
If you would like to volunteer to lead a local meet-up group in your area, wherever that may be, please let us know, and we will add your city to our list. Your job, as leader (should you accept it), would be to coordinate and attend the meetings, use your city’s thread on the forum here to lead your group, and to promote and support Rain to the best of your ability.
We are very excited about this opportunity and we hope you are too. As always, we welcome your ideas, suggestions, and feedback.
We will be posting some of our own suggestions for your meet-up groups as soon as they are ready. In the meantime, please let us know if you would like to help.

I know it’s sunny in Las Vegas, but am I the only Cloud in Nevada? Cali and Arizona are close! Let’s make this happen! Calling all Sunny Clouds! I am willing to lead the group or co-chair with a fellow Cloud!

I can’t for the life of me come up with a cool weather related name for the group. Let me know if you have a suggestion and I’ll add it.

Please add Seattle to the list. I will try to put together a meet up here and also try to recruit a very active fan I know here to co-chair. It would be good to also have a thread for sharing ideas on how to publicize and to generate ideas for activities that would make meetings fun and keep people coming back. Coordinating a date and time (maybe on a Saturday) so that all our groups could get online at the same time and say hi to each other via Skype would also bew fantastic!

I would like to form a meet group here in Delaware or the surrounding areas which would be Philadelphia, New Jersey and Maryland. We are all over but I run one of the Facebook Cloud fan sites and would like to meet Clouds like me on the upper East Coast. ^+^

FYI, we already have a New Jersey group started. But we don’t have a Philly group yet. Although I think Busybee is in PA and I’ve been bugging her to start a Cloudburst there. Hm. Maybe a team-up would be possible?
And I don’t think we have a Delaware yet, do we, Stephe?

wow…that’s a great idea!!!…it’s so hard for U.S clouds to meet since we are so far apart but maybe with meet ups something can get started, one of these days a national meet!!! 😉
