[ETA: full closing ceremony video link] Rain performs a medley of 3 of his hit songs for the closing ceremony of the XVI Asiad.

With his usual flair for fashion, Rain looked as spectacular as he sounded during his performance at the closing ceremony of the XVI Asiad, in Guangzhou, China.

Rain represented Incheon, South Korea, which is to serve as the next location of the games in 2014, by performing a medley of three of his hit songs:  Rainism, Hip Song, and Friends.  For your viewing pleasure, below are the videos of his performances:

Wow.  Can you believe we got two new concert performances in two days, Clouds.  And we wonder why he’s exhausted?

And here are a couple of pics that have just been posted by the Associated Press:

  3. Oh, I am soo proud of Rain!!! He looked amazing in that outfit; that jacket, those pants and boots were georgeous. All of them looked elegant and chic. Sigh. Rain performance was magnificent; he filled that gigantic scenario like the pro he is. The Friends song was precious, it’s the first time I hear it and I was close to tears. His voice was impecable and those kids dress in tradicional clothes were adorable. A great showcase of Korea. I am sorry but this performance was more important and significant that an award at the MAMA’s. He was selected for this coz he is the best performer in Korea. I think that says it all.

    • I agree 101%…. I am so proud of Rain! To see him out there representing Korea, and on such a grand stage (it was huge) – WOW! His Friends song was perfect(and especially during these times), and his voice amazing as usual. Jihoon is truly a World Star, simply the BEST and perfect ambassador for Korea.

Stephe and Teri (Cloud USA) — Thanks for posting this for us to enjoy.

  6. Of all the thousands of famous South Korean entertainers why did it have to be Rain to perform in the closing ceremony, why does he have to be the ambassador for the next Asean Games. We all know why, coz he is the best of them all. I’m not a citizen of Korea and yet I feel so proud that my number one idol is there to represent his country. He is so dashing in his black attire. His performance was marvelous. His last number, Friends, is my favorite of his songs and I can’t help being emotional while listening to it. Rain looks really gorgeous.
Thanks Cloud USA, thanks Terri, for updating us on the latest about Rain. He is Number ONE forever.

    • As always, we are very glad to oblige.

I am actually on vacation this weekend, and so this morning I was being very slow and lazy and was doing absolutely nothing except immersing myself in K-Pop, which also meant I could be sitting at my desk, waiting for the first news to pop up on the Internet about Rain’s performance, so I could toss it up onto the blog.

See, that’s the only way I was able to beat Stephe to the punch. Ha ha.

  7. He did such an awesome job! So proud of him… AND he looked soooo good in that outfit. Actually they all did. I was reading he left to go back to Korea to film the Fugitive the next day? Damn he’s one hard working man! No wonder this dude is tired as hell. Poor thing. Get some rest, Rain!!!

  8. His “I’m Your Friend” performance was like deja vu, reminiscent of Michael Jackson singing “Heal The World” surrounded by kids on stage (Nothing Else Implied!)……Since Michael was his musical “mentor” so to speak, I’m not surprised.

  9. i liked the way Korea showed their traditional dance and i think i saw some B-Boys in there and then our man came on. i noticed Rain walking to the stage with such confidence.

congratulations to him. i only wish this had been apart of US tv, there was an awful lot of medals won during these games.
i think at some point i’m going to have to watch the entire show.
thanks so much for posting ladies. @Terri,,,,hahaha, they picked the right person for sure.
