@ BiAlamode, You would think since we are both minorities (and not the most popular ones) that it wouldn’t make a difference? RIGHT! Black women are the most unappreciated and misunderstood of all and the most lied about, We don’t all wear weaves,we are not all evil, we don’t all have attitudes and or hard to deal with. And wow some of us are very intellectual, we don’t all have big butts with big lips and noses or just because we maybe light skin with long air that some would consider so called good hair(state of slavery) with white facial features does NOT mean we are conceded! We are so misrepresented.We deserve to be with the tall gorgeous Asian Men as well as the white which is becoming a LITTLE more accepted. Also we do have friends other than black, and we are not at all like Naomi Cambell ready to fight at a drop of a hat. And just because we may talk certain street slangs most defiantly does NOT mean we are uneducated. And please to ALL: I am not trying to make anyone feel uncomfortable but if you are it’s probably something you need to look within yourself.

Yes, I must say to all as well, it is not my intent to make anyone uncomfortable with this topic either. I agree with you Lotus. I posted the snippet of “Akira’s Hip Hop Shop” precisely because it addresses the misconceptions by both ethnic groups of Each Other and despite those misconceptions and the obvious physical/cultural differences, these two beautiful people manage to find love with each other. This to me is how the world SHOULD work. You should be able to love WHOEVER you want no matter the ethnicity without ridicule or shame, just like Rain should be able to kiss whoever he wants to in a movie without fear that his Asian fans will protest against him. Yes, Black women get a “raw deal” in my view. We are ALL judged, quite often, from the negative perceptions of a small segment of our population. However, it will take one encounter at a time, with those who are different from us to get to know us as individuals. That is when the generalized stereotypes that “weigh us down” will began to lift and we can ALL “break free” from that heavy load.

@BiAlamode, Nice sister! but if JiHoon were to be with a black women it would have to be in the U S, cause it would be easier for him to be with a white women cause sisters are just not as accepted, he (Rain) wanted to do a kiss scene but was advised against doing so,and I’m only repeating what I saw in an interview.And let me just say that I can’t say all I would love to say on this topic cause as a woman that is mutli racial, a woman is a woman and it doesn’t make a bit of difference the nationality. Its like 50’s and 60’s all over just asian and black.BiAlamode if we ever get a chance to talk outside this form girl we will talk!.

I totally agree with you. The funny part is Ninja Assassin WAS an American production even though it was filmed in Europe. So technically, he should have had the freedom to kiss Naomie in the movie. I also get that he was probably advised against it because it was his first major film role where he was the lead and they probably did not want him to be embroiled in controversy before becoming an established acting presence in the U.S., I do get it. I am not of mixed race directly, but as an African-American it’s easy enough to “shake my family tree” and get a mixed bag. This topic fascinates me. Yes, I would LOVE to talk outside this forum. I would like to get your direct perspective!

For those of us FEENING to see some Blasian love on screen, you may want to check out this very small independent film called “Akira’s Hip Hop Shop” it’s only 45 minutes long. Here is a director who wasn’t afraid to “go there” on film. It’s very cool and thought provoking. At least for me it was. Here’s a snippet from YT.

I never get tired of Razio major YUMMIE! And just in case no one knows if you buy the dvd you get all these outtakes, I’ve seen this over and over just can’t get enough of that ninja action ya know. And did y’all notice in outtakes mika’s British accent can out a couple times. hahahahaha love it.

OMG!!!!!! I thought I was the only one who was in love with the Mika scene in the first video. I remember when I finally watched Ninja Assassin I could not get that scene out of my head. I walked around for days playing that scene over and over in my head. The way he says her name is an instant orgasm. The tone of his voice is so dam sexy, I mean that is an instant turn on. This is one of my favorite scenes. The way he plays Raizo is so hot. Rain definitly was a very sexy, hot, badass in this movie. I would love to see him play this character again in a part 2. But I doubt it would happen.
