OMG!!! That’s soo cool Kongsao!!! Girl, you look pretty there!!! Now, you are so lucky, even your own video as proof that you really hold Rain’s hand. LOL You can’t ask more than that!! That was amazing, even latinas where there to support Rain!! What a great opportunity and he looked sooo handsome. *Scream!!!* I am with Stephe, now you have to tell me all. How was to touch his hand? Did he smell good? Is he as georgeous as we think? I bet he is thinner than we think coz tv add weight to people. LOL It happened to me already. I went to meet Ricky Martin in a theather. When I saw that man I was gonna die!! He is taller that I thought and soo thin but with muscle. I was speachless. Ricky Martin is 6′ so he is more or less like Rain in hight. It was fun and he authograph my cd. Sigh. But my “romance” with Ricky is nothing compare with the admiration I feel for Rain. Oh Kongsao that’s so nice you got to meet him close and personal!!! Scream!!! I would love to have that opportunity one day. sigh Your description is all I have imagine and more. I envy you but in a good way. I know it probably gonna take at least two years but I know is going to be fantastic. I know my day will come.

I’ll never forget when, after being a lonely Rain fan for three years, in 2008 it came to my attention that Rain was doing a Hollywood movie called Ninja Assassin. After celebrating like a mofo about it being made by Warner Brothers (a MAJOR coup, good god almighty), I quickly said to myself, “Well it’s gonna be some kind of Disney assassin for sure. Huh.” Because up to that point I had only seen Sangdoo, Full House, Cyborg, and was fully immersed in his pop music. I was pretty excited but didn’t expect much.
But then… all of those 87Eleven training videos started surfacing. And his body started re-contouring. And I saw A Love To Kill, and the viciousness that he brought out in BokGu, to where BokGu’s character scared the crap me. And I thought, “Oh, hell. This is going to be some SERIOUS %$#! Disney my @ss. Rain CAN do this. He can!”
And THEN a close buddy of mine and Terri’s, Darrell (he’s a horror writer) said to me, “Hey, Stephe! Have you heard about that new ninja movie coming out next March? We’ve gotta go see that!” See, Darrell and I are both ex-martial artists, martial arts movies aficionados, and lovers of all things ninja and samurai. So he was really stoked, though he didn’t know Rain at all. And that was my perfect “in” to introduce Darrell to Rain. “What? He’s a Korean pop star? For REAL?” ROFL
And so the wait was on. March 2009 came… and the movie premiere was POSTPONED until November. And we both could have chewed construction nails in half. And we were like, okay, come November, don’t screw with us or we will go Master Sho on somebody. Don’t do it!!
So… around the middle of October 2009, I had Terri thoroughly introduced to Rain. By the middle of November, she was a Cloud and was all over his stuff like white on rice. And she was like, “Tell Darrell I’m going with y’all to see Ninja Assassin!” And Darrell was like, “Cool, c’mon, Ter!”
The movie premiered here in Atlanta on time, we were all up in the theater, it was the bomb, and the rest, as they say, is HIStory.
(Well, almost. Terri and I ended up going to see NA a second time, with Jim. And that time was every bit as awesome as the first.)
So that’s my Ninja Assassin story, the short version. Haha.

Yeah, that IS the short version. LOL.
Actually, the second time we saw NA was even better, because:
1) We had to practically make an event out of it as we had to go ALL the way across town (to Gwinnett County & the Asian community) to find a theater still showing it.
2) We expected the theater to be half-empty or filled with a mostly Asian audience, and instead the place was packed to the gills with people from all ACROSS Atlanta. I think there was every age and nationality imaginable in that place.
3) We weren’t half as distracted by Rain and saw a LOT more the second time around than we did the first. Okay, I’m totally lying. We were still as distracted by Rain, but we STILL managed to see more. LOL.
4) The drive home was hysterical. I’ve never laughed so much while trying to navigate the dark streets of Atlanta in my LIFE. ROFL. And you should have seen our faces when I was about to let Jim and Stephe out in their apartment complex parking lot and a street light blinked out ROFLMAO.

I forgot to mention how I’m really loving Lee Jung Jin’s performance in Fugitive Plan B now… At first I just thought he was a bit of a hard a** and he annoyed me because he couldn’t see what was really going on. In the past few episodes I was just floored by his performance. Rain is killing it, of course. I’m also enjoying the heck out of Lee Na Young’s performance.
You know it’s a good drama when you’re talking to the screen while watching it. You know… things like, “Oh My Gawd… What???!!!” lol… FYi…during episode 12 I really wanted to just punch that Seargeant Do’s boss and the police chief in the face.

I am too, loving JungJin’s performance… especially when he’s giving that crooked chief and the crooked captain hell, and ANYTIME he’s around Det. Yoon. She absolutely brings out the cuteness in DoSoo, fo sho.
And YEAH, I wanna stomp that chief and that captain into the ground like spikes. Grrr!

Yes, I love Jung Jin now. At the beginning not coz he made a prank to Rain that I didn’t like but he is getting to me. In that episode when he clean Detec. Yoon’s mouth and then smiled. Oh, yeah. He is a very good actor and I think is not easy to keep up with Rain in those stunts. LOL

I have to chime in and say that I love, love, LOVE this site. I love that all of you sister Clouds are so sweet and kind and hilarious. I love that if I’m having a bad day, all I have to do is get online and visit this site and someone will make me smile and laugh, and not just chuckles but full on belly laughs. I love that I stumbled upon this site because, while the other Rain sites are good and informative, no other site has this much fun going on all up and through it. I love that I can go on the forum and usually find someone to chat with about my love for Rain and my dawning love for other Kpop (can we say SHINee??). I love that you guys will get up at the crack of dawn or the crack of midnight or whatever other time it is in your area to watch Fugitive Plan B. Now THAT’S some dedication right there! I love that noone has managed to go off on each other (well… not TOO badly) since I’ve been hanging out here.
I ESPECIALLY love that Stephe and Terri take so much time out of their busy as hell days to make this site so special. Thanks so much for everything that you do!
One thing that I’m mad about: that I didn’t watch Ninja Assassin till June. 😦 I too had wanted to watch it when I first saw the trailers but sadly I never did. Look at all I was missing out on!

Well it’s my turn to chime in on the whole Ninja Assassin doorway to Rain. My husband and I love Ninja movies. One day I was reading up on Yahoo about the new movies coming out and I saw Ninja Assassin. The trailer was really awesome and I loved what I saw but I have daughter below the age of 5, and I have no one to babysit for a couple hours to go to the movies. Anyhow we bought it when it came out on dvd and that’s pretty much how my obsession began.
I was extremely grateful to find Cloud USA when I did. Stephe and Terri, words can’t describe how awesome you guys are. I love that we can get together here and share a common interest, all the ladies that I have met have been really respectful. As BiAlamode said, I don’t really hang out with girlfriends much either but I really hope we get to meet someday…I think it would be great.

I give thanks to God for the day I decided to see a movie called Ninja Assasin. Is’nt that ironic? Lol That a movie so violent guided me to a path of love, friendship and laughter? Love for a human beeing filled with love, creativity and good fellings like Rain. So different to Raizo in many ways but with the same indomitable spirit. Friendship to a group of people so diverse united by the same passion, love, and admiration for Rain but also for each other. Laughter that lift our spirits and makes us stronger. Soon we will celebrate a year of support to our beloved Rain but also a year of laugher, love, friendship and yes, crying too. Rain is so special and I am grateful I found him and you ladies. My life is brighter for all of you. Big hugs and kisses for all. Muah!!!!! 😀

Stephe and Terri, I must agree with my fellow Cloud sister Lotus. You ladies are CHAMPS with the work you do on this site and this is my #1 spot to come to for Ji-Hoon. I started out at another place and you two “WOOed” me and now I am yours…..(Not Like That….pull your socks up!!) Yes, we agree to disagree sometimes and I know I have been “spanked” a couple times, but I wouldn’t have it any other way…..(SMILES) I have never been one to have a lot of girlfriends that I hang with, I’m a bit of a loner, but I look forward everyday to reading the comments and feeling the comradery with all the ladies. I hope we get to meet someday, I think it would be cool!!

I’m absolutely thrilled that you all enjoy Cloud USA so much. Honestly, you all just don’t know how much all of you mean to me and Stephe. You really don’t.
When we started this site, it wasn’t for us. Not really. I mean we had each other in our Rain addiction, and because there were two of us (and because we had understanding families), we could gush about Rain amongst ourselves all we wanted, whenever we wanted. The thing is, though, there’s just SOMETHING about Rain that makes you wanna SHARE him with EVERYONE. You know? So, for some odd reason, we kept finding ourselves wanting to tell more and more people about him and his talent. But then, finally, we just simply ran out of people here in our local lives to tell.
Ottoke? What to do? LOL. Being writers, all we could think of to do at the time was to start a blog. And that’s exactly what we did. Which is how Cloud USA came to be. And the rest, as they say, is history. LOL.
So, you see? Cloud USA is not for me and Stephe, not REALLY. Really, it’s for all of YOU.
I also hope that one day me and Stephe will get to meet every single one of you. Yes, one of my biggest dreams is that I will be able to line all of you up and give every single one of you the BIGGEST HUG EVER. (And then I will cry, because that’s just how I am–stupidly weepy. LOL.)
But until then, we’ll just have to have fun here. Sound good? Shall we?

I soooo love this picture as well and truly appreciate Ninja Assassin because this is how I got to know Rain. I saw this movie in March (late I know, but I was so busy) and the rest is history. I thank him so much for opening up a whole new world of entertainment to me and he is a wonderful ambassador for Korea. So happy I can sometimes be very curious and remember asking “Who is this sexy azz Rain?” and I remember the first thing I saw was an early performance when he had the braids and the girls were stripping him and dancing all over him. He was so damn charismatic and sexy and had a smile and lips to kill (yes, I’ve been on the lips since I first saw the guy), then I remember seeing him in interviews and seeing how shy and cute he was. Then I watched all of his dramas (a couple of times I might add esp Full House).
**Funny how I was originally too busy to see Ninja Assassin when it first came out, but since then I have never been too busy for anything Rain and must have a glimpse daily!* 😀

Your story is practically my story of introduction to Rain the only difference is my husband and I rented Ninja Assassin from our local Blockbuster store trying to fill a boring night with some movies. My husband asked the store clerk what he would recommend that day and the clerk asked if we liked Ninja movies, we said yes, the rest is my Rain history. I also saw this movie in March.

LOL I rented it from a RedBox booth because I remember being in the theater and seeing the previews of this before it came out and say I HAVE to see this movie. Funny thing, I don’t really like violent movies nor have I ever watched Ninjas. But I was transfixed on that screen and this awesome movie from beginning to end, which is why I had to look this guy up.

(BIG SMILES) Exactly, I hate blood and gore in movies also, but something about this sexy, barely speaking two words Ninja that just intrigued me. So I read the back cover and I said “Rain, huh let me see who this is.” Went to You Tube and got my hair blown back and I have been hooked ever since. I have now seen a whole other side to Asian culture I never knew existed and I am the first one in my house to watch documentaries and such. Who knew?!……….(SMILES)
