Yesterday, some of Rain’s top supporters in Asia (and elsewhere) asked Cloud USA to help them drum up more overseas support for Rain on his Korean fan site called Rain’s The Cloud (Fan Site). They asked us to join the fan site, which is Rain’s official fan site, located in Seoul, Korea, and talk a LOT more on their discussion boards, to show The Cloud (Rain’s Official Fan Club) and Rain how much we really do love and support him, especially here in the U.S.
Note: You do NOT have to be an “official” member of The Cloud (Rain’s Official Fan Club) to participate on Rain’s The Cloud (Fan Site). All you have to do is register, just like you did on Cloud USA’s forum, for example.
Since we don’t speak Korean, we knew some people might have trouble with the registration process. So, we asked for some specific instructions on how to join in English. Those instructions, which we just received (thank you, Rose!), are as follows:
How to register for Rain’s The Cloud (Fan Site):
- Go to http://rain-cloud.co.kr
- Look at the top left corner. Click on the dark, gray button on the far right, at the top of the page that says: 회원가입 to JOIN the site (see slide 1 screenshot)
- Two types of membership options will appear on the right side of your screen
- Click on the bottom right box. This is the sign-up link for “foreign membership.”
- Fill in the membership form with your personal details (see slide 2 screenshot)
- Your NICKNAME will be the name that will appear on Rain’s The Cloud (Fan Site) once you become a member. That is the name everyone will know you by. Please note that your NICKNAME is NOT your ID.
- The ID is the number you will need to use every time you Log In to the site. Please note you must use all numbers for this ID. You may not use letters, spaces, or symbols.
- Remember to click on the “CHECK” button to make sure that the ID and Nickname you are trying to use are available. If the ID and Nickname you are trying to use aren’t available, try different ones. If the ID and Nickname are available, please make sure you click the OK button in the pop-up box that appears, otherwise you will get stuck in the process.
Once you click “Agree” and OK, you will then be a member of Rain’s The Cloud (Fan Site). (Yay!)
Always remember that when you log in you will need to use your ID and Password, and then the site will open up to a page with your nickname at the top.
There are several great places to post messages on Rain’s The Cloud (Fan Site).
You can post on the board called:

You will see this board as soon as you log in, on the site’s main page.
On the side-bar on the left, you will also see a section called “World Cloud.” Under that section is a board called “English Talk.” This is a board that has been set up especially for us English speakers. We certainly need to fill this board with messages.
You can also post to “Rain News.” The link for that thread appears at the top left of the page, under the section called 공지/참여공간. Please feel free to respond to all messages that are in English.
Please note that even if you sign up as a member of Rain’s The Cloud (Fan Site) (which is FREE to all), until you sign up as an official member of The Cloud (Rain’s Official Fan Club) (through an official membership drive and which is NOT FREE), not all of the fan site’s areas will be open to you.
FYI, I’ve also been informed that the next membership drive for The Cloud (Rain’s Official Fan Club) might be starting up sometime soon. I will post more information about that, as soon as we hear something more definitive. (Although, I’m not holding my breath on that one, for sure.)
In the meantime, U.S./English-speaking Clouds, let’s talk up Rain here at Cloud USA and everywhere, especially on Rain’s The Cloud (Fan Site), and show Rain how much we care!

I signed up and out, I’m pleased at being a preliminary cloud, but when I sign into my site, it’s all in Korean, and I don’t know where to go from there, should I just expect fellow clouds to email me or something? oh so sad :(( I live in usa, and im white so still learning all of this, so please bear with me. it would be nice if this fansite would have it in English for Rain’s fans over seas so they don’t feel so isolated, and don’t know their way around, i’m a beginner here, or a newbie if you will, and I made sure my information was not exposed to the world its all on private settings but when I log in now, its all in that lovely language Korean so I was wondering if someone could email the person running the site and tell them to put in translation for American people that aren’t fluent in Korean so they can maneuver properly, thank you so much for reading this, sincerely E.

marissa….in the first box (put your ID, this should be numbers you received in your e-mail on a page that says “Sign up”) in the second box (put your password, the one you entered when you registered) and click Login. does that help you?

Ladies I have been trying to post a message for Rain but is not working for me. I don’t know what I am doing wrong but I can enter to post. Can someone please tell me step by step how to enter? There are two spaces at the top of the page and next it said login. In the first blank I am writing my username, marisara. Then in the next blank I am not sure what to write, if it’s my password or what. I am writting my password but the system change to the same page and nothing happens. I know they send me another number in the email. What it’s for and where do I write it? Also, in the middle of the page there are another place to write and I guess it said user name and password and that’s coz Konsao tells so in her post. It’s that the way I should use to post a message to Rain or I should use the top where it’s said login to enter? I am a little confused so could someone plzzzzzz help this Cloud in distress??? Everyone kind of move over there and I am feeling left out of the fun. Help pretty plzzzzz!!!

You don’t put in your user name. You put in your ID NUMBER, the 10-digit number that you signed up with, in that first space. And then your PASSWORD in the next space. The site will automatically bring up your user name when it signs you in. And you can either do this at the top of the home page, or on the actual log-in page if you get that.
Did you ever get signed in? (If Terri’s instructions aren’t clear, do let us know because I’m pretty sure they say ID NUMBER and PASSWORD.)
If you still can’t get signed on, something might be wrong with the site itself. You know, a temporary glitch. I had that problem last night, but not for long.

Awww. I’m sorry you’re having such a rough time!
You may have to change the password now because it might think with all the tinkering you were doing, you were someone trying to use “marisara’s” log-in. But I’m just guessing. Don’t give up. I know it’s frustrating. If you still need some kind of help, please do let us all know here.

There are 4 boxes on same line as your name…
1st box 수정 means amendment…click here & a pop-up box will appear…
Then go in to amend your message…
Once amended…click the blue box to resubmit…
Voila…your message amended.
One more tip…if you wish to cancel a message…
like times when you could have clicked twice &
your message appear twice…
Go the 2nd box 삭제 to delete…
After clicking on it, a pop-up will appear to ask your
agreement for cancellation…just OK it!
Don’t bother about the other 2 boxes…
U will notice that these 2 boxes appear in other messages…
not your own…as you cannot amend any one else’s msg.
신고 is in case you want to report that the particular msg
is offensive or whatever…
댓긒 is what I click on when I want to reply to this msg of yours.
One more tip…shd u wanna send a PRIVATE msg to RAIN
There is this box 비밀글 which means SECRET…
Tick the box & your msg will not be made public, k!★★★
Ahh…not sure why some of you have messages “missing” after submission.
By right it should not happen.
Make sure you click into the red box 글쓰기 which means WRITE…
And not just Enter from your Keyboard…ok!
One other matter…There is an auto log-out from the system…
not sure the time-frame…hence there may not be any need to log-out
each time you finish with the page…

Ok, so website registration was a breeze! Went to the message support board and posted a message (right after BiAlamode) and it worked fine! EXCEPT when I logged out and logged back in ( just to see if I could) my post was gone 😦 Did I screw something up? Help : )

I just logged in and both your comments posted. The same weird thing happened to me when I first posted. The whole page disappeared on me and would not let me go back to logout. That option disappeared to. So I re-booted my computer and went to log back in after and that’s when I saw my comment. Re-booting is what Stephe suggested to me, but I had already done it. I think it’s a “glitch” at their web site.

This is why I stay the heck away from foreign sites I can’t understand. I followed all instructions above and everything went swimmingly. After typing my message to Rain on the Message Board link on the first page, I hit what I thought was the button to post the message, the damned page I was on disappeared and another page pops up as if I need to give my username again. I no longer see the option to Logout. That’s what really frustrates me. When I get stuck I would at least like to log out. If this has happened to anyone else, please let me know how to get the heck off this site until I know more.

BiA, did you try shutting your browser and reopening it? (that’s usually a blanket logout everywhere you are for sure, it’s happened to me too) As much as I hate doing that, it’s the only thing that words for me most times…
I hope you’re feeling a little better today… I’ve been pretty concerned.
(the Internet in general has been pretty sh!tty for the past week, just acting up and crap for whatever reason… simple options like delete buttons, move buttons, click and access buttons, everything, simply aren’t responding)

@busybee I received one also and when I later went back I didn’t have to use it, but then again I also put a check in my remember me box. Maybe its like confirmation ID numbers? I’m still keeping hold to it just in case.

ok now, i have a question. i registered, left messages and logged out. checked my e-mail and received my verification and welcome.
there is a 4 digit number that i can’t figure out what it’s for. it is not a number i used during registration, so i am wonder if it is a number i should use when i sign in again or is it just for the site’s information? did that happen to anyone else? just a wee bit confused by this new number and it’s purpose. one other thing, when signing in again. do i include ID/PASSWORD (in that order? USING THE SLASH ALSO? or is it asking for one or the other? hope this doesn’t sound silly, but it’s the first time for me in a Korean site. just want to make sure i’m do the right thing when logging in again.

Wow, a lot has happened in the last couple of days. After having my back “molested” with a doctor’s needles yesterday, I am still in a viocodin haze, so I will not be signing up for anything TODAY on a foreign country’s web site. I did it!! I am almost officially a Cloud. LOL The only problem I got was when I was going to write a message for Rain coz I don’t know why the system would not let me write. I received the email but my system don’t allow me to see the message. Maybe there is another instruction I have to do that they said in the email? Don’t know and if someone know plzz tell me.
