You know, those pesky critters that simply won’t let you eat in peace? Ever?
Yet another frivolous lawsuit, by the same man.
We came across these “court documents” way back at the end of JUNE on a questionable scandal rag. We couldn’t tell if they were real or not (note the dramatic prose in place of proper legalese, and how they were filed on Rain’s birthday), there was nothing to support them, and they quickly went away with no one taking the bait. We sure didn’t (take the bait OR spread the maliciousness).
And so we waited just to see if they would magically resurface during an opportune moment, say, after Fugitive: Plan B‘s premiere, when Rain was riding success? And well here they are. What a surprise.
(And by the way, my heavens, what a crime it is to go gambling in Vegas in a VIP room, and enjoy it. More than once. Does that qualify as an addiction? Does that qualify for a stoning?)
There’s something more going on here. Celebrities get sued every day of the week, but the situation with this one man’s repeated lawsuits has degenerated into an out-and-out attempt to assassinate Rain’s character.
That is what’s so disturbing… this person has gone into the gutter, and we’re not even sure he’s alone. If you know what we mean. — Stephe ^@@^

Allkpop 10/18/2010 — J.Tune Entertainment’s official response to Rain’s lawsuit
Rain has been hit with an untimely lawsuit while busy with TV drama “Fugitive Plan B“, accusations of military dodging and gambling habits are now all the talk surrounding this famous world star.
Although J.Tune Entertainment had few words in response, they have come out with an official statement regarding the lawsuit.
Rain’s agency stated, “Andrew Kim is an assiduous [insidious? ^@@^] man who has filed a lawsuit since 2007 against Rain and was engaged in litigation against Rain’s 2007 LA World Tour cancellation. Since the case has been disadvantageous to him, he is now resorting to these malicious allegations.”
The agency added, “We are currently looking into ways to end this false claim and will counter sue for damages.”

hey, no problem….i say that because in reviewing the legal docs that were filed in the “name” issue the doc. recorded Jung JiHoon aka Rain (the preformer/stage name) or something like that. maybe it had to be like that to specify what the conflict was. don’t know. but even that case in Hawaii had both names as well as the ones moved to Korea. so it just seemed logical the same pattern would have applied. thanks for clearification though. btw, in looking closely at the document you can clearly see ($2 million) further down on the document. it has been whited out, but not totally.
@BiAlamode….i’m an older fan as well and couldn’t agree with you more. thank goodnness for the mental benefits we acquire with age.

real court docs. would read Jung Ji-Hoon aka (Rain). courts use the persons real name. otherwise, it is not a legal document.

Okay,
Let me throw in some legal info here. Yes, real names would be used for normal people, but with celebrities, it’s different. They can be sued using their stage names.
For example, Tom Cruise’s real last name is Mapother, but he goes by Tom Cruise. That’s his stage name. Everybody knows him as Tom Cruise. So, when he gets sued, it’s usually as Tom Cruise. (And like Rain, he used to get sued a lot, until he started going after people with both barrels, btw. Maybe Tom can give him some tips on that…)
Same thing likely applies with regard to Rain. People know him as Rain. And as such, he can get sued as Rain. Doesn’t make any difference to the court, as long as the documents clearly identify the defendant. And unfortunately, they do–all too well.
Sorry. Hated to burst that bubble, but just wanted to keep it real.

A court could, however, make an issue out of that, and require the filer to file under the celebrity’s given name, but since everyone knows Rain’s real name, it would be pointless.
This is so much crap. On the plus side, looks like J Tune is finally backing Rain up, rather than leaving him out to flounder in the shark-infested waters. At least, I hope this is what they are planning to do.

Hmmph… I said it on another post and I’ll say it again. I don’t buy it. I don’t buy what this Kim guy is saying at all. The court documents seem fabricated… don’t you have to use a person’s real name? The documents also seem too emotional and full of hyperbole to be real.
Actually… I just went to the site SmokingGun.com and read some real court documents. They’re full of legalese. I’m not buying it Mr. Kim! I’m not one of those types of people that fall for just any old trick. He seems like he’s trying to get at Rain any way he can. His real lawsuit failed so now he’s going for defamation of character.
Like I said in my previous post: who just has $150k just sitting in their bank account ready to be withdrawn? And what ATM lets you withdraw $150k? On a Saturday? Come on now. I wasn’t born yesterday. Also this whole green card thing seems highly laughable. From all accounts, Rain has always said he’s going to go into the military eventually. He emanates love for his country and I could not see him trying to draft dodge. And anyway, I know some Israeli people that lived in the U.S. that had green cards that still had to go into the military when it was their time to go. Isn’t that a similar situation?
Like I said, I’m not one of those netizens that jump to conclusions that Mr. Kim seems to be trying to incite into a furor. I hope Rain sues the pants off him.

You are probably right….I had not noticed the timing of these rumors. I am sure it is as you say, then this really is calculated, sinister, wicked and just plain evil. I a more mature fan, so I can’t be swayed by rumors for me I’m a “Just The Facts M’am” kinda girl. It comes from Rain’s lips and will be stated as fact before I will believe anything.

I agree with you. As I have said on this site before, God protects his own. I don’t know if this is the proper place to say this, but there is a verse in the Bible that says “No Weapon Formed Against Me Shall Prosper”. Ji-Hoon has shown what kind of spirit he has and Who he belongs to, so this “man” can attack him, others may attack him but they will not succeed at what they are trying to do. The more they attack, the more successful Ji-Hoon will become. From where I sit, this is the way God works.

Oh yeah, God protects Rain coz his heart is good and I believe in Karma, he has done so much good that only good things should come his way. Also, remember that Rain’s mother will protect him too. She is an angel that will stay with him forever. Rain is gonna be alright coz lots of people are praying for him. Good vibes will reach him and protect him from evil minds.

There are people in this world that live their lives trying to be notorious or trying to live at the expense of others. This person is trying to do that; get his ten minutes of fame and try to get money out of it. My advise to Rain is get a good lawyer and squash him like the bug he is coz if not the doubt stays in people’s minds for ever. Rain is a good person, i believe in him coz a person like him, that lives in a healthy, responsible and humble way don’ t do that kind of things. Aza aza fighting Rain!!!! love ya!!!!

@BiAlamode, yep, always and it can’t come soon enough for me. i am soooooooooooooooo sick of these people and their antics, but i was watching to see what would be next. the funny thing about this is that Kim and partners seem to think everyone including fans won’t see through this. my wish is that fan sites would just not post this stuff because it is after all directed at us. the intent is to demolish his career status and decimate his fan base. that’s my opinion, after following how and when these rumors are released. but since they are posted on sites my hope is that fans will gear up and massively join KBS site to show these rumors are not achieving what Kim and his ilks hope for. living here in the US we know this is a norm to get money from stars and if kdramas reflex a modicum of realism, we know vicious revenge is apart of some folks make-up. like little spoiled kids, when things don’t go their way. (sickness)

Unfortunately, this is the sort of thing that happens to most successful people. The unwarranted attacks will come because for as many people who love you, there are almost as many who dislike you. They dislike successful people, because successful people represent a certain level of hard work, perseverance, diligence and drive that the “average joe” is NOT WILLING to expend to obtain such high levels of achievement anyway.
What’s the next best way to get big money, go the CHEAP ROUTE, hence the “get rich quick” folks. Those who have a scheme or a scam for every day of the week and twice on Sundays OR those who file frivilous lawsuits hoping for a big payday.
This man, obviously, has a burr up his a__s for Rain and it could be something as big as he feels Rain ruined his business reputation or something as tiny as Rain is cute and reminds him of all the cute boys back in high school who got the cute girls and he’s seeing flashbacks. Maybe he’s the “front man” for someone with a larger agenda against Rain. In my opinion, when certain people see someone about to “blow up” on the world stage they try to “work/manuever” people to stop it from happening. Rain is quite possibly the Right Asian man for this Right Time and quite possibly someone doesn’t want to see him reach his ultimate goal.
