Did you know that KBSWORLDi.com has an English language news service every weekday for free?

*ETA 10/14: DramaFever.com now has Runaway: Plan B available for online viewing.  See our posts from Thursday for more information.

Have a great week, all.

  1. Just watched ep 5. I laughed out loud quite a few times at Ji Woo’s antics and I thought the end was extra gripping and well done. Dying to know what the hell Kai’s deal is. If he’s so trustworthy, why is he keeping such close tabs on her? Also curious how and where Kai’s assistant and her deception fit into everything. I’m saving ep 6 for tomorrow so I can savor it when I’m not so sleepy. Let me know what u guys thought of ep 5!

  2. Eng subs for episodes 5 and 6 of Fugitive seem to be up on KBSiWorld. I just finished ep 4, which, when I started watching it, was the latest episode to have subtitles up. Just now I refreshed the page and the little “cc” label came up for all episodes. They’re subbing these episdoes really fast, which is so cool. Going to watch episode 5 now!

This is one of the exact purposes of this Open Thread… fans helping other fans with the latest info out there. Thumbs up.

      Hope your week’s gone well!

  3. I do, however, have a bone to pick about one thing in particular. I know we are supposed to suspend our disbelief but I have an issue with the fact that they keep saying Lee Jung Jin’s character (Doo So?) got shot by Ji Woo while wearing a bullet proof vest both times. Bullet proof vests are bulky and you’d be able to see them through Lee Jung Jin’s thin t shirts. Plus he wouldn’t be able to just get up and chase after Ji Woo right after being shot 3 times. It’s supposed to hurt like a b—h. That’s my one pet peeve with the show so far though…

    • Okay,

My two cents on the body armor thing…

First, there’s no such thing as a bullet-proof vest. Bullet-resistant, but not bullet-proof. Second, body armor can be very thin these days. Our own Federal Air Marshalls wear concealable armor, and you can’t even tell they are wearing it, unless you look carefully.

A bullet from a handgun, from far enough away, would hurt like a mother, but it might not even knock you down, because it lacks the mass. So, Hollywood movies that show someone being shot by a handgun and then passing out are what is unrealistic.

Unless someone has a higher-powered rifle, and the armor isn’t protective enough, the person may not even pass out. So, if you think about it, the scene in Fugitive is actually quite realistic (except for the falling down part, but come on, Jung Jin was a bit exhausted from the chase…so I can even forgive him for that…)

In reality, many people don’t fall down at initial impact. They are so full of adrenalin that they will actually stand there for a few seconds and THEN fall down. There are many stories out there about policemen who have to fire multiple times to stop someone who was wearing body armor.

FYI, Mythbusters did an entire show on this myth. There is also a documentary somewhere out there about this subject. Google it.

      • Ohhh well interesting! Learn something new every day… Well good… I’m glad it was realistic. 🙂

        • Well, it was realistic enough–for a TV drama anyway. Glad I was able to impart some modicum of wisdom, so to speak. LOL.

BTW, if there are any writers in our Cloud USA group, Mythbusters is a MUST SEE show for you. Great for research.

  4. Finally managed to watch ep 2 and 3 of Fugitive w/ eng subs. So much more interesting when you actually know what’s going on. I really like it and I’m extra interested to know what happens next. Can’t wait for eng subs on eps 5 and 6.

  7. HI!! I am amaze that KBSWorld already have the subs for the last two episodes. It seems that they are hearing us after all. LOL The series is going great, I can’t wait to see how it develops. Remember to do that tour to all magazines an request Rain in their “Contact us” page. With some luck those magazines will hear us too and put photos, interviews and info. about Rain in this side of the ocean. Please mention The Fugitive in your request and the great ratings it have, also mention that you are a member of Cloud USA so they get curious and take a look at this site. Kimchi Fighting!!!

    • Thanks for the tips, Marisara.

I would love to see him on our magazine stands. I was in the bookstore the other day and looking at the cover of all of these fashion mags, wishing like heck that Rain was on at least ONE of them. But alas. No.

This is a worthy project, all. And yes, please do mention Cloud USA. There’s enough material over here to give the editors all that they need to justify putting him on their covers (and it also would make some Rain fan editors very happy, don’t you think? LOL.)

http://www.rain-usa.com has all ep’s available for viewing and/or download. You will have to become a member, but it is free to do so. Best!

    • lol “best” meaning, best wishes! The best way to view the show in high quality is at kbsworldi.com. But if you have no $$ for that, i’d recommend rain-usa. also, the cost at kbsworldi is really not that expensive. It breaks down to approx. $1.00 usd per episode, and if you get the promotion, it’s even less. good luck!

      • That’s the package I got. I figured I’d support Rain and watch them there as well. Just make sure you don’t fall asleep during Ep 2 like I did! They only let you rewatch an episode up to 5 hours after your first viewing, and no I did not fall asleep because it was boring! 🙂
