Rain’s Fugitive to begin airing on local, cable, and satellite TV in the U.S.

[Cloud USA] Yes, you read that subject line correctly, Rain clouds.

According to the KBS World website, where you can get the television schedules of subtitled KBS programming on local, cable, and satellite networks here in the States, The Fugitive: Plan B will » premiere on October 20 and will air on Wednesdays and Thursdays, twice daily, at 8:00 am and 2:50 pm EST.

With all of the confusing KBS affiliate sites and news that is already out there, what this means is:  If you get Korean television programming that carries the KBS World logo’d shows your TV by way of local, cable, or satellite broadcasting, you will be able to stretch out in your favorite easy chair or recliner and enjoy the shenanigans of Ji-Woo and Crew.

For example: KBS in Seoul broadcasts all of their programming on three television channels — KBS TV 1, KBS TV 2, and KBS World (which shows programming from KBS 1  and 2, but subtitled for English audiences).  Here in Atlanta, DirecTV (satellite) and Comcast (cable) are two providers who both carry a local premium Korean television channel that broadcasts from that KBS World feed from Korea.  That’s how I watched most of my kdramas, variety shows, and such.  That’s how I saw Rain on my TV for the first time — doing slick-suited “Rainism” during a film awards show.

So, check the networks in your area.  Surely Dish Network (satellite) is a provider too, as well as whatever local cable broadcaster you have.  If you live in an an area with a high Korean/Korean-American population, it may be in your free local TV lineup.  Check to see if you have Arirang or KBS America as well.

Televised episodes of The Fugitive: Plan B, English-subbed, should be running across the States somewhere near you under the KBS World logo, beginning October 20th.

Affiliate KBSWorldi (that’s K B S-World-i, where you watch KBS shows ONLINE on your computer) has made subtitled episodes of Runaway/Fugitive available today, as previously announced.

Let us all rejoice!  Ji-Woo fighting!

  1. I ask in my area but they only sells a group of channels like I would only have korean channels but no latino channels. Well, I already paid for the points in KBS soo I am using them to see the episodes with subs but I see the ones without subs in DramaStyle. LOL, That way I get to see Ji-Woo double time and get to drool double time too.

  4. Cox Communications, the cable provider in the Washington, DC area has a number of Korean channels and a variety of programming, KBS included. I just wish the broadcast was at a time when I could watch, as I have not got the capability to record for later viewing! But I will prevail, ha, ha, I am currently trying to find a way to pre-order DVDs! Aja, Aja Fighting!
