Make no mistake. We are posting this video only because we admire how calmly the Philippines fans took Rain’s absence, and we appreciate how much understanding they showed him. And thanks to Cloud Philippines for sharing this video with all Rain fans. Paulette and Lou, congrats on making the cut. And Odette too, for being in Da House! So cool. 😀
What we don’t appreciate is how quick the media was to play up how Rain “snubbed” his press conference and fans. Rain is finally in the Philippines after a really long time. We assumed everyone was happy about that. Were we wrong? 😡
During this entire nearly three-month overseas odyssey, we’ve all been privy to a gazillion news reports, entertainment clips, interviews, fan accounts, and Rain sightings on filming sets, hotels, and in the streets…
…and we have to say that in all of those countries we’ve never experienced the disdain and miscommunication that seems to be surrounding him right now. And this could just be us, but he seems uneasy to boot.
Makes you wonder what Rain knows that we don’t.

Yea, i am truly getting tired of hearing people talking about how he is a snob! Everything that Rain does always has a reason and a purpose. They really need to calm it down over there or Rain might now even want to go back to the Philippines.

as for me knowing rain is so postive person benife his heart periods i have see rain in person who stand in front of me he almost walk pass by me the day of NINJA ASSASSIN PRIMERE but instead keep going forward he trun and walk back and give me a hand i was very very bless of rain how coulkd they say him arrogant star .
i am crying right now it very hurt i am part of the clouds and rain give me what i wanted with a wish from my heart with no exception about this periods bootm line rain love all his fand and clouds even much more then himself he live underground who give us a happinese spirit life of his real reaily of what he done and hwat effort he done a young man of 29th year in korean who have work all his 8-9 years and no complian about what is going on the world is who SMILE love and move on to his achivement and spread his ENTEWRTIAMENT for intertional world who give us a world on korean wave of industry and concert for so amny time sent day first rain sweat to perforamce rain jet leg all over country to country rain even acting in US as well know he popluar by SPEED RACER, I”M CRYBORG THAT”S OK, NINJA ASSASSIN ect… all this was prof even for a MEGA -STAR like rain not just that everytime he have interiew he alway be honest to his words he is a positive person ….
but is the media and reporter that wanted to make a wrong hotline misleading news about rain all the time it like they don”t seeme to let rain live his own popluation world look how much record they acuuse rain noot opnce more then that …
rain is strong intigent guy who work up to his root and he keep his promises save and confrim. i have show all the concert and visit and touring esp at the air port is their alway fan their to support him and greet some of them even gift rain a give some of them even wait for him sent in morning or even 8to10 hours see how specail this guy r why… coz, he care and he give then wran shake hand and bowing to them and even try to sneak out to greet and shake their hand i have see quite fancam of rain and what u get from them new they say rain is arrogant star .of my heart i don”t even think rain that person at all he happy and smile at them from walk into airport and left the airport when rain saw fan around he bow to them and ewaying his hand to them too that how love of him sharing to this world being part rain clouds and fans is so the true is in your heart of your own EYE see rain if u meet in person u know what i talking about i even see them hugg rain so tight and kiss him and EXTREMLY happy it like a magical just blow them with excitement and so haapy some even crying out lourd see rain at the airprt, some even pass out and even run after him what all mean to u is he a star we love i have never see anyone who r a world star so respectly of them and alway be their as it also not to mention that but rain pocket money that he earn it goes to charity ot orphan suporter did rain even winding about it no he even feel the free and happy for this eventually rain money goes that anway all the time only rain that i see that does this and how come they not know his postive honmor side …. my QUESTION??

some wrong or issue it not come from either the manager or company itdself or the peoples he contract coz rain all these sulution and rain is the only guy TO BALME and me I BELIVE IN RAIN coz he work his way to sucees why would a person put to much effort and sunddenly screw his careere rain alway wnated us to prouds and happy and stay healty look at all his message he also mention us in his heart it doesn”t matter who?? he kep it smooth and spire his love oner to everbody and that SO TURE of rain..

i really don’t blame Rain’s management at all. this involvment of Rain’s taking place there has been messy from the very beginning. first it was a Rain concert, then it was a Rain and special guest (mblaq), then it was a Rain and U-kiss, then is was Rain only for an hour, finally it is Rain-U-Kiss and two other singers. it’s like they were making these announcement as things develop, instead of locking down everything and then start to work the ads, ticket sales etc. the same organizers who were scrambling to get the details right, are the same who didn’t get it right this time. for one thing finally it can be seen that this is not a full blown Rain concert (so Rain isn’t promoting it like one, actually, if you notice, he’s not promoting it that much period.), really it seems that his appearance on stage is to pump up the interest in the drama and use this time to meet and perform for his fans for the first time. so why would he have a pre conference first for the concert when the drama is the big ticket item? the Phillipines has been included on the shooting list long before the stage appearance announcement.

the last thing i want to say on this topic is this….for the past several days i went on a mission to hunt down and watch just how Rain responds to his fans when arriving in their country. what i see is a person so far removed from how the Phillipines what to portray him as, as a matter of fact all of these vids show him the complete opposite. in Jakarta, Rain surprised his security by all of a sudden turning and walking to his fans with outstretched hands, shaking them and having the security scramble to secure him. in Hawaii, fans reached out their arms and hugged him, placing their welcoming garlands, touching his face, kissing his cheek, talking to him, hugging him. in the US, fans caught him off guard in the underground parking lot, he turned and started signing their cds. there is vid after vid that disputes this “Rain doesn’t like to be touched, or Rain is not friendly” or “Rain dosen’t like his space invaded”. so i am feeling very much like kongsao because it simply is not true. what is true is that for every action there is a re-action..so maybe if folks there were more friendly themselves toward Rain and dump this preconcieved notion, he would be able to show the person he truly is.

That’s really interesting. Someone should put together a compilation of that on YouTube or something. From what I’ve seen, he doesn’t seem stand-offish at all, and that’s one of the reasons why I became so interested in him. Very nice to confirm that I wasn’t imagining things… 🙂

Well Philippine press, great way to make a world class celebrity NEVER want to perform in your country again! Rain, babe you really need new management, these kinds of mistakes should not happen this often. Dates and times need to be checked, double checked and triple checked again. Granted, confusion on dates can happen from time to time, but supposed this happens in at a U.S. scheduled press conference. When you are new to a market, you can’t afford for the press to put unwarranted negativity out there about you, before you get a “foot hold” in that market.

Well, of COURSE.
We know Rain is not a snob. He also wouldn’t “snub” his own press conference. I mean, REALLY. What purpose would THAT serve? That would be insane.
You’re filming a television series that you want very much to succeed internationally, and you don’t go to a press conference set up for it??? That makes absolutely NO SENSE AT ALL. The idea of it is just CRAZY.
Besides, did anyone see any of the other stars there? Was Daniel Henney there? Na-Young? Jung-Jin? The answer: NO THEY WEREN’T. So did THEY ALL snub the press conference too????
Good grief. The press conference was set for the 9th. Period. END OF STORY.
And all I have to say to the Philippines press is: YOU’RE DOING IT WRONG!

I am so sick of hearing people trying to bash him and make him seem like he’s something that he is not. Do you know why his “die hard fans” were not upset? It’s because any real Rain fan knows that he would not just decide to skip a press conference just so he can chill. No matter what he does, how hard and long he works, how much he puts himself out there and tries to make himself accessible to fans, someone somewhere has to find something negative to say.
*smh* They are ticking me off……I need a drink LOL! 😀

Well, I read Agent P’s blog. This is what she’s saying: “If not for us from Cloud Philippines frantically trying to explain things to the reporters who have decided to declare him as suplado at maarte (snobbish and demanding in diva-esque proportions), Rain would be at the receiving end of super-bad press from the Philippine media because of his quirks (eg., no one is allowed to go near him for whatever reason. In Philippine showbusiness, that is the exact equivalent of a first-class snob) and his management’s inability to come up with a believable reason as to why they had to cancel the press conference at the last minute, and making the press wait almost two hours for that official statement.”
So there you go… I’m not sure if I’m supposed to quote other blogs here but I thought that was supremely interesting.

Well, usually Agent P. doesn’t like anything from her blog being quoted elsewhere, BUT I think when it comes to Rain in the Philippines, she probably doesn’t mind because she’s in a good position to give information. now listen to this…yeah, i’m sure Rain is un-easy. if you were there in the country and one day you said hello and waved to some folks who you thought knew you and nothing happened. how would you feel?
the next day, you see the same faces looking at you but this time in a different location and again looking at you but not saying anything to you, how would that make you feel? according to a blogsite, this is what happened to him in a two day time span. so, yes i would imagine he is feeling very uneasy.

What I keep hearing from that site is that Rain doesn’t like for fans to approach him or be all up in his face. That apparently all people that have been his fans for a long time know this.

Well the way I understand it… it’s not that he’s standoff-ish or a snob the way they are portraying him in Manila. It’s just that fans all running up to him (or any celeb) makes him nervous, and it’s dangerous. He’s been physically hurt that way, several times, and so have they. And honestly, you have no idea what anyone his holding in their hand, or if they’re really an anti-fan in disguise, and all it would take is for the wrong person to manage to get beside him for one second. Disaster…
I’ve seen too many pictures of him full out hugging a fan or talking to them face to face or suddenly stopping to pose in an airport with his arm around them for a picture to believe anybody who calls him a snob.
And it’s awfully funny how we haven’t heard the snob and snub words all summer–until now. Know what I mean?
I swear, when that person almost snatched his arm out of the socket when he was trying to get through that crazy-ass crowd for one of his fan meets in Seoul back in May, and it hurt badly enough that he actually YELPED, I wanted to snatch that person bald. I’m telling you.

Oh, I felt the same way when I saw the videos and photos of that scene with people snatching him. U just wanna go at the crowd and snatch up a few people urself.

I totally agree with you. I wanted to put my post up without any of my actual thoughts coming out. But now I’m going to. Rain is a famous man. We all know famous people have crazy stalkers. Anyone could come up to him and hurt him. Sometimes I’m actually surprised to see him just walking the streets like nothing. I’d be nervous too if random people were following me around trying to jump on elevators with me and such. I mean, it’s nice to see these fancams and pics and stuff but sometimes when I’d be watching them I’d be thinking, “Wow… If I was Rain right then I’d have wanted to turn around and go off on that person.” Mostly only the paparazzos do that here so it’s been interesting to watch. A few times I’ve actually cringed at some of the depictions of events. He really doesn’t get the credit he should for being SUPER tolerant of that sort of thing.
And really… why do so many people think that if someone is famous they should expect to be grabbed up on and stalked and etc…. and if that famous person doesn’t like it… oh well! Everyone is entitled to some modicum of privacy.
About that crowd at that bookstore in Seoul. I was shocked when I saw that. I’d watched so many videos of people freaking out in a controlled fashion when they see him that it was really a surprise to see someone try to take his arm as a souvenir. For him to keep walking without turning around and hitting that person or really changing his facial expression, and then to go into that bookstore and just calmly talk to people shows just how professional he is. It’s things like that that continue to make me like Rain more and more.

i’m feeling the same way about what’s happening. our sister Cloud kongsao (bless her heart)…recently shared Rain’s scheduled for the entire month of September (sixtofive1982) she’s pissed, hahaha. no where is September 6th shown. as a matter of fact, she says THAT DAY, RAIN HAD OFF FROM WORK. nothing was scheduled for him. now if she found access to that info. don’t you think those organizer could have done the same thing? just to double check details. however, i did see another tv spot that says it was a misunderstanding or something like that. but, i’m not happy with the uproar over there at all.
yeh, i’ll be glad to see Rain return home too.
