  2. I’m sorry this may be a dumb question but, how exactly are we suppose to see this in the states?, can we get this on the net? Or does cable carry KBS? I have my laptop just need to figure it all out, hahaha! I’m really not internet savvy yet or computer savvy? Hahaha! Oh well I need to get a book for dummies! Hahaha! But any help would be much, much appreciated! Thanks

    • @lotus, well…

(this is what I commented to divalcious a few weeks ago…)

“My guess is that fans in Asia will immediately attempt to upload the KBS 2 episodes onto YouTube (unsubbed); and knowing YouTube they will be ready to immediately strip them off of the site. So whether or not we get a taste of them there (or on any other video site) will be a complete crap shoot at first (and we won’t know what the heck the characters are saying).

When I had KBS World, I did notice that a lot of times dramas showed up on that channel, hard-subbed in English, right after they ended their first runs on KBS 1 or 2. Which means that, depending on the amount of episodes (dramas vary, some are 16 epis, some are 32, 38, or more… a few have been 100+ and 200+) and how many air per week, we could be waiting anywhere from two months to six months, to a darned year. *sigh*

And then there’s DramaFever.net… who has legally gotten dramas from the networks, hard-subbed them, and put them up online within a few months of their initial showing. I am hoping and praying like a mofo that they are wheeling and dealing and trying to land Runaway RIGHT NOW, to save time.

And then there are those fans and sites who will be in a competition to see who can hard-sub the show (which is grueling and takes a hell of a lot of effort) and successfully get it up first. And there will be those fans who, when they think YouTube isn’t looking anymore, sneak and reupload the episodes again.

What a headache. I wish there was something more concrete. Everything is so up in the air when it comes to fans in the States. 😦 Of course, an unknown factor could come into play and we could unexpectedly get the opportunity to watch the drama just like everyone else, in the same time frame. You just never know.”

I really do wish there was something more concrete. With the drama being so anticipated everywhere now, things might even turn around for us as well. We’ll just have to wait and see… and pray. *fingers crossed*
