What we want: An unbiased write-up of Rain’s recent (and very important) sit-down interview with Money Today, where he tries to clarify the controversial stock situation that has been plaguing him for months.
What we’re NOT getting: An unbiased write-up of Rain’s recent (and very important) sit-down interview with Money Today, where he tries to clarify the controversial stock situation that has been plaguing him for months.
Rain’s fans want and deserve the straight facts of this Q & A session properly translated and in Black & White, what the interviewer said, how Rain responded, additional information that Rain offered, et cetera, so on and so forth. The facts. Not the media’s personal opinions about “thinly veiled ruses” or netizens’ opinions about how he must be playing dumb because, frankly, what you all think isn’t important. The meat of the story and what the man is trying to get across to everyone is. He’s a human being, and at least he was man enough to sit down and give the situation some air time. What ever happened to giving people the benefit of the doubt on this planet?
So. When we find such a write-up by someone without an axe to grind or by someone who doesn’t get their jollies by helping the celebrities they despise take a nosedive, we’ll share that here. Until then, when we can properly educate ourselves about what actually happened and come to our own conclusions, no go.

FYI, all Rain fans: Rain has left Hong Kong and is now safely in Cebu, the Philippines as we speak. He has Runaway filming to do, and of course he has his appearance at the SM Mall of Asia in Manila on the 11th. Stay tuned…!

A final thought: Suddenly I keep seeing It’s on like Donkey Kong everywhere on the blogosphere, when I haven’t seen or even used it myself since the freakin’ 90s. Did I throw that around a bit too much here lately and restart something, folks? Well, cool.

we should not pay any attention about what a rag writes about BI, as his fans we have a pretty clear understanding of what kind of a person he is, we have foloowed him for years and we know that shady he is not, he has dealt with legal problems trhu out his career and he has not been the one doing the shady deals, it has always been the other players in the mix doing it, be it in the U.S or Korea, but be sure that BI is in the up and up, unlike others that seek to profit from him…I for one could care less what they write about him, I will support him in all his ventures…aja aja BI!!! 😉

I found the translation of the interview that I read over at Rain-USA to be quite intriguing. First, because the interviewers really ask Rain a lot of hard questions (and I wish more interviews in the U.S. were so tough), but second, because it seemed to me that his answers were very clear and candid, very honest. I still have some questions about his reasoning throughout the situation, but I didn’t read anything there that made him seem like he was trying to be slick about things. If that is what Money Today’s Star News was aiming for, I don’t think they succeeded.
Apparently they are the primary sponsor for one of the dramas that will be competing with Fugitive this season? Sounds like a conflict of interest to me for sure.

Thanks so much Stephe,
I agree with everything you said and you have seen my comments on earlier posts. I stated that sometimes bad situations happen to good/smart people. I believe Rain to be a good/smart individual that made what he thought to be a sound investment decision and maybe it turned out to not be particularly good for him and he has since tried to rectify that with the least amount of “trauma” to all involved.
@StarRain,
I agree 100%…….JTUNE should have got off their butts to help grow the Damned company. Rain can’t sit in the board room all day long AND do concerts AND do movies AND cultivate new talent too! YOU BOARD MEMBER, YOU JTUNE STAFF are responsible for the ACUTAL GROWING of the company. Rain’s talent and image may have opened the door, but there should have been someone else whose sole purpose at JTUNE is to cultivate new talent so that the company could grow BEYOND Rain and MBLAQ. The company can’t “ride the backs” of only (2) acts. Case in point, MOTOWN. You think Motown had only (2) acts, NO there were SEVERAL acts. Hence, the company grew into the phenomenon that is recognized today and NO Berry Gordy did not do it ALONE. In the beginning he brought in the talent, but he soon relinquished that responsibility and gave it to others who could help him do that. Then he surrounded those talented singers with even more talented musicians and then surrounded then with even more talented songwriters. The COMBINATION of ALL that Talent and Drive is what grew Motown………….You feel me JTUNE?!!
I have confidence that Rain will work it out. This Cloud is still Raining!!!

Mmmm….
I understand sh!t about businesses, the financial industry, the economy. But what I do understand is that Rain knows more about them than I do. He is a smart guy and has worked very hard to get where he is now. He’s not so stupid as to do something that would jeopardize other people’s belief in his integrity, and thus his career longevity.
I have not read anything on the net with regard to this matter so don’t know what others have negatively written. And I have no intention of seeking it out. Sounds like tall poppy syndrome?
I believe in his integrity.

Yeah obviously there blowing this whole thing way out of proportion only because it’s Rain. Any Joe Blow can do the same thing and no big deal. I will also continue to support Rain because he isn’t the kind of person not to think through and be smart about his decisions.

I like to know all the facts before I form an opinion, and I still know that I won’t be privy to ALL of the facts, since I wasn’t there at the time. I’d also like to read an article that isn’t based on the authors’ thoughts and suppositions. Rain strikes me as a very intelligent guy, not malicious at all. The truth will out, I’m sure.

I have strong opinions on how articles are translated which I realize I have to live with because I do not speak the language. But I find fault in reporters/writers getting interviews and not relaying the actual truth of what’s being said.
I have faith that as a businessman Rain made an educated move to help those involved. He should always look out for himself – when our stock market failed, I pulled my money out, why shouldn’t he have that option?
JTunes has had the opportunity to grow and not ride on Rains’ coat tails and they haven’t done it. The stockholders should realize that most of their revenue shouldn’t be “tyed” to one source, in this case, Rain. Rain will actually lose money if this “tale”, I mean story, reported that part right. And yet he is still “the Bad Guy”??
I honestly feel like there is more that Rain was trying to explain. Maybe another “unbias” writer can help Rain get his information out there correctly.
I’m listening and waiting….

That goes for me too, busybee. That kind of crap only serves to show how badly the Crap-per lacks some esteem in his/her own life. Pathetic.
And I would say that about anyone being slammed just for the heck of it, not just Rain. No one’s going to like everyone, but why do people have a make a career out of being gleefully nasty about someone else’s troubles?
Hey, thanks, JJ.
