[fan cam/translation added] ZEPP Osaka: “Hmph.”

We really want a translation for this one.  Looks like Rain’s being a smart@ss again.  “Hmph.” LOL!

— Stephe ^@@^

°

The subject title doesn’t translate properly, so that means he’s talking about something only native to Asia, with no English counterpart…  (courtesy of raintic @YT)

*ETA: “Please give me some Takoyaki (octopus ball, Japanese snack)” is the subject title of the video.  Thanks to Cuckoo for this information!  Rain, you are hilarious. — ^@@^

English briefly translated by rain bird
Reworded by Cuckoo

Subject – Takoyaki Kudahsai –

Rain :
Does anyone here bring Takoyaki I could have?
It’s so delicious.
(When he thought there was no one bringing it, he had a cynical smile on his face)
I’ve become one of the highest-paid stars, so I’ll pay for it myself if you don’t really want to buy it to me.
(In spite of saying such things, he is keeping saying about ‘Takoyaki’ )
I’d like some Takoyaki !! (Takoyaki Kudahsai)
(All of them at the concert laughed at his words.)

For your information :
**’Takoyaki’ (octopus balls), is one of the most signature Japanese snacks, which is out of the oven after allowing dough and octopus to mix well.
** Takoyaki Kudashai means “I’d like some Takoyaki”

Additional note from cuckoo – Kudashai means “please give me” in Japanese.

  2. I am soo happy your mom is doing better. *hugs* Hope everything is alright soon. The worst thing about something like that is waiting to know how you are doing. I got a biopsy some time ago and everything was ok but waiting to find out what was going on was awful. Only God can give you peace at that times. 😀 Zepp Concert was epic and I hope his concert in the US will be something similar. It gives you a chance to know Rain better. I love when he takes time to talk to the audience. To me it shows respect and thoughtfullness. If I am there to see him is nice that he talks to me, laugh with me and in top of that sings and dance. It will make me feel really special.

  3. “Takoyaki.” (thumbs up) “Please give me Takoyaki.”

“Did anyone bring some that I can have? It’s so delicious.” (didn’t he ask that question in Korean? Opsoyo? pardon the romanization, trying my best to learn something here)

“Hmph.” (sneers in disbelief, twice, and repeats himself) “Please give me Takoyaki.” (smiles, but then sneers in disbelief at the fans continued denial)

“Hmph. Hmph! I’ve become one of the highest paid stars, so I’ll pay for it myself if you don’t want to buy it for me. Hmph. Hmph!” (absolutely does not believe they have none, acts like they are fibbing) “I want Takoyaki…!”

Oh my, how I have laughed at this. What a personality. He’s just so natural.

    • Stephe,
No, he didn’t aks question in Korean. He spoke Japanese.
He said “Sushi, I love Sushi very much”
Then, he asked fans “Is my Japanese correct?”
      Fans said “Sushi? Maguro (Tuna)?
Then someone said “Takoyaki” to him, thus, he said “Takyoki” with his thumb up.
Rain “Takoyaki Kudasai” (please give me Takoyaki)
Rain “Opseoyo” (this is Korean, Stephe, you are right. A+)
      ……

-> He made this joke because he was on diet at that time, even now. He couldn’t eat snack and chocolate. Therefore, he made that funny face. It didn’t mean “disbelief”, in fact, he laughed himself. Like a kid, “okay, you didn’t buy me, I have money, I can buy for myself one day”

–> Ji Hoon is a big baby, he always feel hungry and need to feed all the time. Cloud spoil him, he knows….well, different culture, Asian guy always love to show “this sweet” in front of his woman in private time (he treats fans as his girlfriend in Zepp). Ironically, Asian guy behaves as a king in the public, he loves his woman follows him, respects and obeys him. This is only my thought as an Asian little woman. In fact, I feel happiness when I stand behind a man.

      • Haha…! 😀 Thank you!

Sorry I felt the need to deconstruct all of that for myself, it’s this curious writer thing that comes over me where I just want to learn and absorb everything… LOL

LOVE the extra insight into Asian behavior patterns, too. Thumbs up!

      • Stephe, welcome back. How’s your mom? Hope she feels better.

It was so funny when he talked about this at Osaka Zepp, everybody laughed not because of the content, but his cute facial expression.
Oh! Zepp Love Tour was wonderful and unforgettable experience. As what he said I felt like meeting my best friend/lover (Rain) there.

        • That’s what makes me laugh so much–his facial expressions. He is so expressive that you can get his meaning even when you don’t know what he’s saying. Haha!

I’m so glad you got the chance to experience the ZEPP tour. What a ride that had to have been, with memories that you’ll carry for the rest of your life. Just wonderful.

Thanks for your kind words. Mom’s recovery has become smoother and she’s feeling a lot better. She had to have a lumpectomy because she was diagnosed with breast cancer (this is our second fight with cancer since 2007). It looks like the surgeon removed all of the disease… we’ll find out this week if she needs radiation or chemotherapy. But whatever happens, we’ll fight it. My mom and I are a formidable team, and together, with the good Lord, we can whip just about anything. Fighting! 🙂
