[June 5, 2010: ETA] Well, everybody, MTV has announced that the voting is now closed, except for Best Movie. For that, MTV will be taking votes for that one all the way up into the big show on Sunday. Thanks to all of you who voted for Rain. We will be wishing him LUCK on Sunday. And we will be watching. [June 3, 2010: ETA] Well folks, we’ve received information that tells us Rain is on his way to Los Angeles, via Korean Air Flight 11. The flight is scheduled to arrive at 3:10 p.m., but you might want to keep an eye on its flight status on LAX’s website, just to make sure you’re there in time to catch a glimpse of him. The KE11’s status page on LAX’s website is HERE.

[*ETA 5/31/2010: Not official confirmation… our Sister Cloud has reason to believe that Rain will leave Seoul on an 8 PM, June 3rd flight (7 AM Atlanta time, 4 AM LA time), possibly Korean Air KE-011, with a 3:10 arrival time at LAX. There are no guarantees of this, but it might give you a head start on your plans. Good luck! ]

Ok. Rain is on his way; GREAT! I contacted TMZ (probably didn’t have to but did so anyway) to get him at the airport as I”m sure it will be crazy! I hope they do it! I hope for lot’s of tabloid fodder and pics! Cant wait!

So confused. Do we have a new confirmation of the flight yet? Sixtofive had mentioned that Rain will be here June 4th thru June 10th. Is this true? My flight is pending. Should i assume it will have the same arrival time for the 4th? Appreciate all the help. =)

We do not yet have confirmation of Rain’s flight. J.Tune has not released any information as of this moment (I just checked). Usually they wait until the day of departure, so it may be sometime today or tomorrow. We don’t know.
Sixtofive1982’s sources in Korea told them June 4. Our source, also connected to Korea and The Cloud, said June 3. All of the news articles we’ve seen in the Asian media have said that J.Tune told them June 3. It could be the 4th or the 3rd at this point.
If it were me making the decision for my own flight, I would go on the 3rd because then, no matter which day he came, I could still catch him at the airport. But only you can make that determination for yourself. That may not be what you want to do.
Just curious… are you going to have any kind of Internet access? Or will you be offline until you get back home?

And don’t worry Clouds, we will be on our best behavior till we see Rain…***scream*** but i will try to contain myself. Lolz! I’ve never done anything like this in my entire life. And since i will be flying, i might as well get a flight that will be @LAX before Rain gets in so i can wait up for him. I hope to have a lot of Rain sightings… =)

Truly, the important thing is for you to have fun and create wonderful memories of seeing Ji-Hoon in the flesh. (We really don’t want to see him or you or any other fans or bystanders hurt in a melee or something, that’s all.) By all means, scream your head off, you and everyone else! The world and Rain should know that his fan base here is growing and of consequence!
Oh, you’re going to have such a good time. How long are you going to be in LA? Get some good stuff for Team Cloud, girl!

And yes–anyone who is lucky enough to welcome our Ji-Hoon at LAX or at the Awards, remember to be a good reflection of him to the rest of the world. Stay calm and polite, so that Rain doesn’t get a bad reputation because of his fans.

MTV actually wants people to cheer and scream for their idols. So, if you’re there, please make sure you do that! Cheer at the airport, but ESPECIALLY cheer at the red carpet event!
That’s very important. If they have a red carpet pre-show, it will be televised somewhere. I’m SO excited!

News from Korean fans (not official confirmation), he will leave Seoul on June 3rd, 8pm flight. He normally takes Korean Airline, if so, he should take KE011, arrival time 15:10 on 6/3 in LAX.
This is only a rumor, no guaranteed…good luck whom may welcome Rain LAX.

I think the way to make him happy is waiting for him in MTV Film Award red carpet. It helps him a lot. And he is more than happy to handshake with you in there!
But, if you decide to go LAX, please stay calm and polite.

Stephe, Terri or any Clouds- Do we know yet any flight info of Rain? We are thinking of going and greet him there as well. What about his hotel? Will it be a crime to stay at the same hotel he is staying if we can afford it? hahaha! If i am only getting a glimpse of him for almost $1000 trip to LA, i might as well go all the way and it will be worth every penny..right? LOL! =)

Not so far, Amber. J.Tune hasn’t released Rain’s flight info yet, only that he’s leaving Korea on the 3rd. Which means that, depending on what time he takes off (anywhere from a 12 to 13 hour flight), with him thirteen hours earlier across the International Dateline), he’ll get here either on the 3rd or the 4th.
We’ll be sure to post that info when it’s released.

By the way, does anyone know a good ticket source for the show? Stephe and I have been trying to find one, but so far no luck. (Unless she’s been busy this morning, cause I haven’t talked to her this morning. Lol.)

Is it true that Rain will be attending the MTV Awards? If this is true, did MTV call him & asked if he could attend? Maybe …just maybe they already know that he will be winning this award if we don’t let up on voting. Who is going? Kong Sao & I can’t afford the tickets but might meet up for that weekend to support Rain at the red carpet..and hopefully could watch the show at their big screen outside the theater or even at the nearest restaurant. Is anybody else coming? Does anybody know what’s the nearest airport and which hotel Rain is staying?…(might as well stalk him)..LOL! just kidding.. =)

something just came to mind. will we know if Rain won before 6/5? will winners be announced on the site? or do we have to watch this show and pray that Rain is a winner? if he does win, will they notify JTune before hand? questions just popped into my mind about this cause i really don’t like MTV, nor do i watch it. but, i will suffer through it if Rain wins. and supposed fans wanted to attend or be present to greet him, how would they know. what do you all think?

I haven’t read anything concrete, but from past years I’m guessing that we the viewers won’t know a thing until the actual show… and they may or may not tell the nominees ahead of time. The celebs getting lifetime achievement awards and special stuff always know ahead, but I’m just not sure about the regular awards. I know I would tell them so they would freakin’ be there!
(Suffer through it is right. I’ve seen some of the most inane, gawd-awful celebrity antics on that show. You would think some of those grown people were like 12 years old.)
Anyone else have any ideas? I really want a bunch of Rain fans in that audience. If I know Clouds, there will be.

As far as I know, the winners are announced during the show. So, no. Rain won’t know whether or not he has won until the very moment that he does.
See that? I’m sending only POSITIVE thoughts out into the cosmos. “Rain has to win…Rain has to win…Rain has to win…”
I’m also voting though. Not depending TOTALLY on the cosmos. Right? Lol.

it’s been difficult as many people on her webpage are expressing for less non african americans. I figure since he’s famous for RnB music (sung in Korean of course) and moving like Michael, someone like him would be a great example of how much love the other side of the world has for our music. I’ll keep trying honey!
