Rain and JYP face-off? Give us a break.

"Oh, good grief."

Oh, come on.  Anyone with sense knows that Rain was only joking, as always.  I can’t believe I’ve seen some Internet bloggers actually raking him over the coals because he said this.

The Korea Times 5/1/2010 — Korean pop singer Rain, who is arguably the biggest sensation throughout Asia, made “a slip of the tongue” during a TV show, which incurred a response from another formidable pop musician, Park Jing-young or better known as “JYP” among his fans.  Rain recently made a remark: “I already surpassed Park Jin-young,” a statement that could be interpreted as a sign of confidence or arrogance, depending on how it was seen.

During a show, aired by SBS on Friday, Rain said he received a personal text message from Park after the remark….

As Rain has already publicly said, he and JYP playfully insult each other’s companies and “one-up” each other all the time because of their longtime relationship.  I can see JYP being taken aback and texing Rain to be sure he was just kidding.  But I would hardly call a text message a “face-off.”  I mean, really.  Give us a break.  — Stephe ^@@^
