They’re just telling us what we already know.

SEOUL, Jan. 28 (Yonhap) — A Seoul court ruled Thursday that South Korean pop singer Rain and his former management agency JYP Entertainment were not responsible for canceled concerts in the United States.

This is sweet vindication, but still strikes a bit of a nerve with us here in Atlanta.  Why?  I’ll tell you.  Because all of that ridiculous folderol back in 2007—the copyright infringement suit by The Company That Shall Not Be Named, the shoddy and dangerous concert staging prepared by The Promoter Who Shall Not Be Named—not ONLY did the Hawai’ian Cloud not get to have their concert, the timeline of the entire I’m Coming world tour was thrown off and Rain didn’t get to come to Atlanta before having to start filming Speed Racer.

It’s been eight years since Rain debuted.  That one concert was our only shot for a performance in Atlanta in all this time—and we lost out.

At least these STARM folks have been dismissed as well.  Now—all of these money-grubbing companies can cut out their lame lawsuit tactics, stop trying to stick it to Rain, and go get a life.  Leave the man alone.

  1. i just love your wording here. yes, we stayed on top of this discussing greed from it’s very beginning. (from the name challenge to the concellations) WE SAW IT FOR WHAT IT TRULY WAS. i’m happy to know that in the future Rain plans to conter sue. not only did these cancellations hurt Rain and his fans but they also stopped the charitable work that was attached to them. (part of those proceeds where going to help orphaned children). but one thing i learn in this life and that is nothing good ever comes from a bad intent. SO HAPPY IT’S OVER. and yes, we as fans feel VERY SATISFIED BECAUSE WE KNEW ALONG THAT RAIN WAS INNOCENT. didn’t we?

    • Really, as if RAIN would EVER cancel a concert on his fans for any reason other than something major (like safety, or legal injunctions because of lawsuits). He has performed with fractured arms, twisted knees, and various other injuries just to NOT DISAPPOINT HIS CLOUDS, for pete’s sake. And the charitable contributions are even more of a concern for him!

As if he would know there was some company with his stage name a whole ocean and a continent away from Korea. As IF anyone would ever make a mistake and think that other company was him or vice versa. Seriously?? I had never even HEARD of the other company, and I live right here in the States! They really shouldn’t flatter themselves like that.

Like you said, at least it’s all over now.

Have a terrific day, busybee. ^@@^
