[sticky][17 images][3 vids][info] A quick look around Battery Atlanta because Rain is coming down next month!

Compiled and written by Stephe Thornton, Managing Editor ^@@^

As many of you have probably heard, and some of you have not, Rain is coming back to the States with his Still Raining Tour encore shows (the Still Raining Tour itself began here in the U.S. back in November 2023 and went on to Asia). The 3rd venue is the Coca-Cola Roxy at the Battery Atlanta, Georgia, and seeing as many fans foreign and domestic have never been there before, I thought a primer of the place might help concert-goers have an easier time orienting themselves when they do.

So, here goes! (Ticketing links for all 3 encore shows are in the article linked above.)

The Battery Atlanta is a mixed use development where people live, shop, eat, and play. It contains hotels, apartments, restaurants, watering holes, parking decks, walking plazas and stores of all kinds. Plus it is snuggled right up against Truist Park stadium, the official home of our Major League Baseball team the Atlanta Braves.

** PRIMER 1: The first thing of note is that the main street that runs through the whole place is called Battery Avenue. All other streets connect with Battery Avenue, and the Coca-Cola Roxy is located on that street. ^@@^

If you come the way we drove (down Windy Ridge Road and turn on Hank Aaron Way) and turn onto Battery Avenue, the first thing you see on your left is Truist Park stadium. The first thing you see on your right is Orange Parking, and then public restrooms and the Roxy. Green Parking is further on down the street, and the beige and black-roofed DoubleTree hotel peeks over buildings and trees. Yellow Parking, Red Parking, and Purple Parking decks are scattered throughout the Battery. Plenty of parking for all. ^@@^

** PRIMER 2: The Coca-Cola Roxy is directly across the street from Truist Park’s right field gate. There is also a walking plaza right there with places to eat and drink. The further you walk down it, the more you see. Like the Omni Hotel, the Comcast Building, fountains, and more eating and drinking spots. ^@@^

** PRIMER 3: Going past the fountains and veering to your right shows you another long walking plaza of shops and eateries, plenty to see and do. That area leads to others, and apartments and condos. Just take your time, browse and enjoy all the road sidewalks and walking plazas, because you’ll never be too far from Battery Avenue. 🙂 ^@@^

** Primer 4: There are 4 hotels right there. The Aloft Atlanta at the Battery Atlanta is on Battery Avenue, the same street as the Roxy, just past Green Parking, connected to Yellow Parking. The Omni Hotel is at the end of the walking plaza that’s across the street from the Roxy. ^@@^

Looking forward to seeing you all at Rain’s Atlanta encore concert! As I understand it, this should be the tour itself coming to an end, so let’s give it the sendoff he deserves.

Thank you for coming to Atlanta, Rain. We are honored and excited to have you here!
