RAIN’s fans made a forest named after RAIN.
On June 25th, a representative of Tree Planet said, “RAIN’s fans made a forest named after him in celebration of his 12th debut anniversary.”
‘RAIN Forest’ was made a Seoul Children’s Grand Park, and the project was held as a part of ‘Star Forest Project.’ ‘Star Forest Project’ is a environmentally friendly project that stars’ fans sponsor through fundraising.
‘RAIN Forest’ was made in celebration of RAIN’s 12th debut anniversary and birthday, and RAIN’s fans held fundraising events for the project for a while.
The fans raised approximately 12 million KRW, and the forest was made at Cherry Blossom Trail that is located right in front of Dome Arts Hall in Seoul Children’s Grand Park.
Cherry Blossom Trail is one of the most famous spots in Children’s Grand Park, but a few trees required replacements. RAIN’s fans planted a great number of different trees at the trail and other surrounding areas so that visitors can take a much more pleasant visit.
Fans who participated in the project said, “We decided to bring this project out in an appreciation for RAIN’s care for us, and in celebration of his 12th debut anniversary. We hope many citizens would make a lot of beautiful memories at the forest.”
The head of ‘Tree Planet’ said, “‘Star Forest Project’ is a very meaningful project because fans, who also are ordinary citizens, are participating in an environmentally friendly project. This saves a lot of budgets for the government and other NGOs, and we will keep doing our best so that more citizens participate in such projects.”
