Melvin Chua, the founder and principal of Ink Pak Communications Group (a public relations and event-organizing firm that advises global luxury brands all over the world on how to succeed in China) was so stoked about Rain doing a “selfie” (at Chairwoman Kan’s pre-SIFF party) with celebrated actress and Chinese film aficionado Gong Li that he talked up a storm about it on his Instagram.

I’m pretty doggone happy about that. Why?

Because many fashion designers consider Mr. Chua the “gateway to China” and the central hub who brings luxury, fashion, personal networks and collaborations all together. When anyone references “Melvin” in conversation in the industry, everyone automatically knows they’re talking about Mr. Chua. When this man opens his mouth, people listen.

That can’t be anything but good for Rain. Ya dig? 🙂

(Yeah, that’s why Rain’s so smooth when he whips his sunglasses off, haha. And yes, Gong Li is quite an amazing woman indeed.) ^@@^

She is truly just simply beyond divine in every sense and every way one would hope for the most iconic and influential star of our generation ~ beauty, talent, gracious, sincere, intelligent, witty and most inspiring of all her humility.”
