[articles] Bingo! It comes to pass: Rain returning to Hollywood to co-star in “The Prince” with Bruce Willis.
— Cloud cover by: Stephe, Managing Editor ^@@^
Remember back in October 11, 2010 (a year to the day that Rain enlisted for mandatory military duty) when William Choi—the man then in charge of Rain’s U.S. management as an actor at Management 360 in Beverly Hills—said in an interview in the Herald Economy News that “We aren’t concerned about the two-year interval when Rain will be away in the military,” and “The late Frank Sinatra began his career as a singer and made it big as an actor, and because of that, Sinatra is a good role model for Rain,” AND also revealed the strategy that he thought would put Rain in high demand: “It may be good for Rain to star alone in a movie like Ninja Assassin, but for now, I think it would be better for him to co-star in action films with three or four other Hollywood stars….” ?
Well. There you go. An action film with an ensemble cast of Hollywood stars. As the “Fugitive” JiWoo would say, “Bingo! Halleluia.”
Cinema Blend is claiming that production begins next week in Mobile, Alabama. If so, looks like a certain Korean is going to be knee-deep in fried chicken, pork chops, grits, and Waffle House because that’s how we rollz in the Deep South. LOL! 😉

What I’m Thankful for in Korean Entertainment | RARA-POP said this on November 28, 2013 at 2:33 pm |
You know it occurred to me that judging by the small volume of comments on this post Bi might think Clouds don’t care about this awesome news.
If you read this, Not true Honey Love. Honestly, Clouds are “excited as hell” and “losing” their minds all over FB (their individual pages). However, Cloud USA is the “Rock of Gibraltar” when it comes to sharing this kind of Rain news. So don’t be discouraged by the small amount of comments. Believe you me it is not indicative of our excitement over this AWESOME news! Trust me…………………..
Also, it’s Thanksgiving week and lots of people are out of town with family. *SMILES*…………………….

OMG!!! :S I’m so happy for Rain! This is a great opportunity, he is going to be in a movie with well known, mature actors with great ticket power so that means more people will get to know who is Rain and maybe become a fan someday! I believe Rain is going to make a huge impact on Hollywood, the next year is going to be Rain’s year and I think that we’ll see more asians on movies from now on! 🙂

Oh, yeah. I heard tell it’s also going to be filming in New Orleans as well. A little to late for our Cloudburst, though. Sigh.
It’s likely going to be filming in Vegas later, since the story actually takes place in Vegas. So, I imagine that the star (Bruce Willis as Omar) lives in either Alabama or New Orleans, because he eventually has to travel to Vegas. A real cross country adventure.
I’m so excited for Rain!

Yeah, this is a pretty well known cast. Bruce Willis…..”Mr. Die Hard” himself. Bi scored with this one.
I agree with Mari. The Bruce Willis factor alone gives the movie wide spread, mainstream appeal from jump street not to mention John Cusack and Jason Patric too. So, after people see the movie you might hear stuff like…..”Rain?..oh, THAT’S that Asian man you have on your Facebook cover. Ooo, girl he fine.” (*using my best Shenaynay voice*).
Yes it is pretty damned exciting. Bi got Southern Clouds “shook all up” trying to figure out where to go, where to drive to, who to stay with….maybe Grandmama ‘nem, cousin ‘nem. LOL!!….like seriously.

(*using my best Shenaynay voice*). Bwahahahaha!
I was just wondering how Rain would fare with our Southern dialect, and you come up with that and Grandmama ‘nem. ROFLMAO. I’m in stiches over here just thinking about him trying to figure out what the hell we all are saying 90% of the time.

LOL!!………OMG, I can see him now with that wide-eyed look on his face….like “What??” *Kekekeke*….Oh, it would be priceless to see that. Now, I Would pay money to see him “maneuver” through all things Southern. Priceless indeed!
Yes, we are teasing you Honey Love……that’s cause we “love” you.
LOL! so funny.

Awesome news. I’m not surprised. Always thought/said his entree into the American mainstream would be through movies. Over here it would be harder musically, though not impossible.
Good luck Jihoon. I must say you are definitely living up to the “surprises” you promised. Now, I get the whole “sneaky, sneaky” into L.A. in past recent months. Mmm, hmm indeed I do. *SMILES*………………
As we say in the South…..”gone on with your bad self” starring with Bruce Willis no less. We already know he works well with Korean men (ex: Lee Byung Hun in Red 2). Also, John Cusack and Jason Patric no slouches in the acting department either. You’ve done well my friend, with your first Hollywood movie since getting back into the swing of things. This Cloud approves. *SMILES*……………..
Can’t wait to see how much of the American South plays into the story’s backdrop. As a Southerner, I’m so looking forward to this one! I might even be able to get hubby to go see this one too.
Stephe, you ready to crank up the car, girl?? *SMILES*
