  1. South Korea “Baby box” pastor says new law brings more babies
By Daum Kim | Reuters – Sun, Oct 7, 2012

A South Korean pastor who runs a “baby box” where mothers can leave unwanted infants has seen a sharp increase in the number of newborns being left there because, the pastor says, of a new law aimed at protecting the rights of children.

  2. Has anybody ever had a problem logging Out of FB?? I click the little log out drop down arrow only to be taken to the General Account Settings page?? I’m like huh? and it keeps me there. I have changed my PW recently too because this same thing happened about a week ago. What is FB trying to tell me?

I will deactivate that sucker in a two seconds flat if need be. I don’t need a FB account if some shenanigans are happening to my account that I can’t see. HELP Cloud sisters……………………………..

    • Well, my experience with that is whenever I try to access an option on that menu and can’t (logging out, going to help, going to account settings, etc. or I can’t get stuff to show on my wall… FB is usually tickering with something behind the scenes. Adding new options, re-configuring stuff, moving crap around, moderating from their dashboard, etc. and so on. And usually when they’re done after a few hours, things go back to normal.

I don’t know if that’s what’s happening now, but I’ll bet it is. If you haven’t noticed anything missing or added or different on your FB, then you probably don’t have anything to worry about.

  4. I must say thank you to CloudUSA and K-dramas for helping me explain the word oppa in my neighborhood beauty supply! There was a young couple in the line in front of me and they were giggling while holding hands. She smiled and called him “Oppa!” while facing in my direction. I smiled too because I understood the title she had given him. The cashier asked her “what does that mean?” Before I knew it, I had blurted out “boyfriend, sweetie, boo, papi”……..the couple turned around and all three of us shared a good ‘ole loud country laugh! Jenny Beauty Supply Super Center is HUGE—it used to be a Target store. LOL

  5. Well ladies that makes me feel better. I know that you have ways of knowing if something is not right in the rainverse. Is just that I’m a Tell-me-the-truth-now kind of girl or I get a million ideas in my head, most of them the bad/ugly type. It’s a family thing! Thanks! 🙂

  6. This debate had me wanting to reach in my TV and slap the smirky grin off someone’s face. Why, why Mr. President didn’t you call this man out on the fact that you have repeatedly tried to “reach across the aisle” to work to bring about the changes we need in the country? Is it me or was Jim Lehrer “too soft” as a moderator? I don’t know, I just hate for the lesser candidate (IMO) to come off as confident. I am sure the President will take the kid gloves off in the next debate, at least I hope so.

    • As far as I’m concerned, Mitt contradicting himself during the debate about what he’s been saying up to the debate pretty much threw Obama off. Stuff he said in the debate contradicts what he’s been saying in private. He totally changed his tune and deflected. Mitt showing himself as a bully was no surprise, however.

    • The problem is that in Washington we have more politicians than we do statesmen. Our founding fathers were looking for statesmen, not politicians to lead our government.

Some people think that politicians are statesmen, that the definition is the same. But they are not. Politicians care more about winning office and gaining power and favor for themselves, their constituents and their part(ies). Statemen will sit in a room and hash a problem out with each other until they come up with the best solution, the best compromise, for ALL people. There’s a huge difference.

I think it’s pretty clear which one of those men up there on that stage is the statesman and which one is the politician.

      • Stephe and Terri, I agree with both your points. I sometimes forget that the President has to keep it cool and collected and not come across as the “angry Black man” I do get it. He is about the “people” and doing what’s best and he has to get re-elected in order to do that. However, for once just once…..I want him to go straight “gansta” and just tell these suckers off! (*that’s in my political fantasy dream sequence*).

Stephe, ok it wasn’t just me. Jim Lehrer….*SIGH*….dude gave Romney way too much leverage to come back in rebuttle. They need moderators that can be a little more hard line and keep to the specific time constraints. If I was Jim, I would have been more pissed at Romney for threatening my PBS gig.

        *P.S.*…………………..

I was just talking with my co-workers and the point was made (and I didn’t realize it last night) that the President spoke directly to the camera (in other words directly to the people) and not directly at Romney. Social media is blowing up this morning as holes are being poked in Romney’s slick double talk.

    • No news from RAINY really is good news, Mari. If anything was really wrong, we would know about it by now. There is no news to report because things are the same as they were at the last report (or better) — he’s being a good boy and resting, taking his treatments, nothing is worse and he’s fine.

And thank God the media is shutting up for the most part about it instead of continuing to stir the pot in order to up their ratings.
