SONG OF THE WEEK: ” Handshake (Aksoo) 악수”, Track 2 on Rain’s debut album n001 (April 2002, as 비, Bi). We’ll go from the very innocent (with him singing into a live mic on TV while just sitting there on the set, amazing!) to the unbelievably sexy (during his World Tour five years later, in Bangkok, with him lovin’ on a mic stand like there’s NO tomorrow @__@). CHARISMA and SWAG FOR DAYS. I could only assume I’d been a good girl that year for God to have rewarded me with that.

Marisara, where you “at” girl? (SMILES)……………..
I need to talk K-dramas. I know we both like Lee Min Ho after Bi on the K-dramas. Well, I’ve recently discovered Micky Yoochun in the K-drama world. I just finished Rooftop Prince and Sungkyunkwan Scandal and now I’m 3 episodes away from finishing Miss Ripley. I really like his acting too and he’s another one with a killer smile and bee stung lips…..Goodness!
I know he’s from the k-pop group JYJ, this is probably why I would never have paid attention to him but for watching these dramas. I had heard of the group and their controversies, but I’m not as much into the k-pop groups like everybody else. Now, if the singers are in k-dramas then that’s where I’ll become aware of them. Anyway, let me go and finish watching Miss Ripley. (SMILES)

Hi Bia!! 😀 Gurl I’m watching Strong Chil Woo and let me tell ya is a trip! The music in this drama is awesome! Is Zorro korean style with similar music. Lol! I’m watching it for Yoo Ah In, he was “crazy horse” or Geol Oh in SungKyunKwan Scandal. I love that drama, specially Yoo Ah In, cuz he’s so sweet and a really good actor. Regarding Mickey Yoochun, I love him too, he was good in SungKKS and I’m planning to see RoofTop Prince soon. Right now JYJ is probably my favorite Kpop group so I want to see Time Slip Dr. Jin cuz Jae Joong is in it. I knew about JYJ cuz of Xia Junsu’s new album Tarantallegra. I’m in love with his music and dancing, he’s awesome! In the summer I watched Playful Kiss, 49 days, Return of Iljimae and Flower Boy Shop Ramyun Shop cuz I fell for Jung Il Woo. My fave from him is Return of Iljimae cuz he looks georgeous in it!! There are so many amazing kdramas starting this month! I’m planning to see Faith with Lee Min Ho, Arang & the magistrate with Shin Min Ah, City Conquest with Kim Hyung Joong and Good Guy with Song Joong Ki. Boredom is out of my life since I discover kdramas! Lol!!

HA!! for me it’s finding the time to watch Kdramas. I definitely want to see Faith with Lee Min Ho and I’ll check out his BOF co-star in City Conquest. I’ve seen Playful Kiss and it was so cute. I only watched a couple episodes of Flower Boy Shop so I’ll have to get back to that one. Strong Chill Woo you say….I’ll have to put that one on the list too! See I knew you would know the good ones.
It’s funny when I “tap into” an actor then I go and watch as many of their dramas as I can find. I do like the fact that Kdramas are short and sweet, there is a beginning and ending. (SMILES) Speaking of endings SKKS had the cutest ending ever. (SMILES) The best one I’ve seen so far in Kdramas.

When I find a good actor I look into all his/hers dramas too!! You’re like me! Lol!! It all started with BOF, I became a fan of those boys and since then, I look at all their dramas. Then I found Return of Iljimae and became a fan of Jung Il Woo, so I watched all his dramas too. Now I’m into Yoo Ah In cuz I liked him in SKKS so that’s why I started with Stronger Chil Woo but he did another drama that’s called Fashion King that seems great. I saw him kissing in a video of that drama in YT and he’s an amazing kisser! I love him! He’s soo adorable!! SKKS is an amazing drama! I enjoyed it soo much cuz their chemistry as a group was incredible! I loved the ending cuz I thought it was gonna be a tragedy, Park Min Young dead and Yochun forever alone but they surprised me. It was adorable the way they ended it. 😀

this is exciting news—-if the Seoul metropolitan government and CGV are starting to notice that Koreans aren’t the only people interested in their movies, we may just get some imports to the USA theaters!
englishnews@chosun.com / Aug. 07, 2012 13:16 KST
Chinese, Japanese, English Subtitles for Some Korean Movies
Six movie theaters in Seoul run by CGV and Lotte Cinema will feature Korean movies with subtitles in Chinese, Japanese and English twice a week starting Wednesday.
The Seoul metropolitan government said theaters in Guro in southern Seoul, home to a large population of ethnic Koreans from China, will feature Korean movies with Chinese subtitles, while theaters in the downtown shopping district of Myeong-dong which is popular among Japanese tourists will offer Japanese subtitles. Theaters in Yongsan, near the Itaewon bar and shopping district where Americans like to spend time, will offer English subtitles.
The move came because the size of the foreign population has grown to make it worthwhile. The Seoul metropolitan government chose CGV in Guro and Lotte Cinema in Cheongnyangni in northeastern Seoul for Chinese subtitles. Guro is home to 29,934 ethnic Korean Chinese and nearby Yeongdeungpo to 39,967. Cheongnyangni in the Dongdaemun district also has the largest population of Chinese other than ethnic Koreans in Seoul at 4,207.
Lotte Cinema in Myeong-dong and CGV in Cheongdam-dong are in shopping havens frequented by Japanese tourists, and CGV in Yongsan is close to Itaewon. Lotte Cinema near Hongik University was also selected for English subtitles due to the growing number of foreigners who visit the trendy entertainment district.
The subtitled films will be shown twice a week. The Lotte cinemas will feature them every Tuesday at 7 p.m. and Saturday at 10 a.m. The CGVs will offer subtitled movies at 7 p.m. on Thursdays and 5 p.m. on Sundays.
Fourteen Korean films will come subtitled.
The number of foreigners living in Seoul rose 9 percent from 255,207 in 2008 to 279,220 in 2011. Chinese accounted for 76 percent, Americans for 4 percent and Japanese for 3 percent.
