[KCM] : I was formerly in the habit of giving somebody a beating whenever I giggle, too. She ought to correct that habit above everything.

[KCM] : Listener #4628, “I came over to my friend’s house and saw a pet puppy there, so I tried to fondle the puppy, but it started barking at me. I was frightened by the way it barked.”

[Rain] : Our family dog, Janguny (General), doesn’t even know me at first when I’m home on leave (laughs), but he soon welcomes me, wagging his tail after sniffing my body. The other dog, Baekgu, doesn’t recognize me at all. (laughs) When Janguny and Baekgu fight, Baekgu is overpowered by Janguny who is smaller than Baekgu is and Janguny always wins, but Baekgu may have no time for Janguny. (laughs)

I passed my driver’s test on the first try. But actually I had no choice but to fail to my driver’s test twice (laughs) because I forgot to bring my admission form and I wasn’t wearing a seat belt.

[KCM] : I failed my driving test two times.

[Rain] : I’ve been in a combat plane before. It is said that combat planes are free from restraint on the sky roads, so fighter pilots could easily think the sea is the sky, and that’s why the plane crash could be caused by a grave error on the part of the pilot once or twice a year. When I was in a combat plane, I looked down and saw both the Western Sea and the Yellow Sea at the same time (beneath me). It is an awesome and exhilarating experience. {From what I’ve heard, is certainly is easy to visually lose the horizon in a plane, so true. [Kang Yil Won]: I’m the editor of an online magazine which concerns electronic music based on hip-hop and R&B.

[Rain] : You’ve got a great job, Kang Yil Won.

[Kang Yil Won]: Electronic music was more popular all over the world than hip hop or R&B or rock music during the first six months of 2012, but pop music has enjoyed continuous popularity.

– Madonna –

[Rain]: She’s got a wonderful ebullient personality as she’s going out with a guy of my own age. In particular, we should pronounce her name correctly, “Madonna [mədɑ:nə]” (laughs)

[Kang Yil Won]: She is such a good singer that even a younger singer would be put to shame.

[Rain] : As far as I know, there is a certain amount of friendly rivalry between Lady Gaga and Madonna.

[Rain] : Her manager should have let me know beforehand. I’m one of his best friends. I feel slighted because I wasn’t invited.

[KMC] : Please try not to feel too sad about it. I think he couldn’t help it.

[Kang Yil Won]: Her album ‘My Life’ was so popular even in Korea.

[Kang Yil Won]: Hip-hop singer Common and Drake have been rivals with one another for years.

[Rain] : Common makes me think of Korea’s VerbalJint. As the history of VerbalJint’s life is very similar to that of Common, VerbalJint graduated from a prestigious college. VerbalJint has said as, “Studying was one of the best and easiest ways to reward myself for my hard work.” I’m happy to go in with VerbalJint on this point. (laughs) Singing or dancing is the most difficult for me.

[KMC] : I’m just the opposite. Studying was too hard for me. (laughs)

[Rain] : You look that way to me. (laughs) Sorry. I love you. (laughs)

[KMC] : I love you, too. (laughs)

[Rain] : Anyway, I believe VerbalJint’s musical talents are second to none.

[Kang Yil Won]& [KMC]: I agree.

-Norah Jones-

[Kang Yil Won] : Norah Jones’s 5th album has been a great success since her ‘Don`t Know Why’ from her debut album globally gained in popularity.

[Rain] : She had a reputation as an underground artist before coming up to the mainstream.

[Rain] : Listener ‘Pastaland’. “I’ve been captivated by the charm of Norah Jones who has performed songs of various genres.”

[KMC] : Listener ‘Garo’. “I like this segment best.”

[Rain]& [KMC] : We’re trying our best.

-Frank Ocean-

[Kang Yil Won] : As Frank Ocean has gained tremendous popularity with his songs from his mixed tape, he’s been nominated for the most number of Grammy Awards. He’s quite brazen about his bisexuality, it doesn’t worry him.

[Rain] : Being nominated along with him would be a great privilege to start with.

-Drake-

[Kang Yil Won] : The big trend in the whole hip-hop music can be Drake. He followed in the same wake as Frank Ocean who debuted as a singer by releasing a mixed tape, not a full-length album.

[Rain] : Listener ‘My Power’. “I’ve been bent upon learning English to understand some of the lyrics in Drake’s song ‘Marvins Room’, but they are hard to translate.”

The argot (jargon/slang) in the lyrics of such songs could be impossible to understand, but you can enjoy and hear such songs, which makes it special.

-Lana Del Rey-

[Kang Yil Won] : Her beauty is enchanting, and she is a singer of extraordinary versatility. She ruined her live performance lately, which was subject to severe criticism.

[Rain] : (in a jovial manner) She ruined her live performance? What do you expect when there’s a serious lack of practice? In contrast, I’ve never failed in the live performance. (laughs) Singers ought to take care of their voice.

[KMC] : I thought you (Rain) were JYP. (laughs)

[Rain] : I just did as JYP told me – “Half of your voice should be air, and the other half should be sound.” (laughs)

[Rain] : Listener ‘Yu Soo Kyung’. “I enjoy listening to Lana Del Rey’s melodic and infectious songs.”

[KMC] : Listener #7425. “I like Lana Del Rey’s ‘Born To Die’ best.”

[Rain] : Listener #6217. “Lana Del Rey is both beautiful and talented. So sometimes things seem unfair.”

Actually, I like Taylor Swift better than Lana Del Rey.

[KMC] : Rain only likes beautiful women. (laughs)

[Rain] : Do you hate beautiful women?

-Justin Bieber-

[Kang Yil Won] : Justin Bieber is enjoying tremendous popularity throughout the world. But this time around, he is trying a new genre by mixing African-American music with some pop music.

[Rain] : Justin Bieber can compare with Korea’s actor and singer Lee Seung Ki. I think Justin Bieber’s current talents far surpass Justin Timberlake’s or Usher’s. And, Justin Bieber reminds me of Korea’s actor Jang Geun Suk. Justin Bieber has recently accepted Michael Jackson’s former producer as a producer. I’ve met the producer in USA before. The producer worked with Destiny’s Child, Beyonce, Jay-Z, etc., and he can compare with producer ‘Terry’ attached to YG Entertainment in Korea.

[Rain] : Listener SY0702, “My favorite song is Justin Bieber’s ‘As Long As You Love Me.”

-Rick Ross-

[Kang Yil Won] : It goes without saying that hip-hop mogul Rick Ross is big. Rapper Wale has recently signed with Rick Ross’ Label related to Jay-Z, and released his first single for the label.

[Rain] : Jay-Z is Beyonce’s husband, and the king of the entertainment business. It is said his regular income is over one hundred million dollars a year. He was a singer and rapper, so he saw how the entertainment business operates, which has probably made him more open to emerging entertainment business opportunities.

-Kendrick Lamar-

[Kang Yil Won] : Kendrick Lamar who was started at a club in West-Coast for underground crowds, has finally sharpened his skills enough to enter the limelight.

[KMC] : Listener ‘Land’. “I’d like to listen to Kendrick Lamar’s gangster music.”

[Rain] : Listener #5953, “I like loud music like gangster music, but my mom hated such music.”

-Az Lucky-

[Kang Yil Won] : ‘Az Lucky’ has gained tremendous popularity with his songs from his mixed tape like Frank Ocean or Drake, and his debut album is in the make. Az Lucky is a native of New York’s Harlem, and his good looks and outstanding skills in music have earned him a status as a rising star in the showbiz.

[Kang Yil Won] : It’s been twenty years since Tech N9ne enjoyed popularity after he was started at clubs for underground crowds, and he is a wing nut expressing unpopular views.

[Kang Yil Won] : Rick Ross, who was a prison officer, has earned megabucks in his new job as a singer. His ‘Stay Schemin’ is my favorite song.

[Rain] : He should probably lose weight. (laughs)

[Kang Yil Won] : They dig themselves in rock music. Their voracious appetite for music takes them far out of the arena of most classical rock music. In particular, Maroon 5 has gained massive popularity by combining rock to rap.

[Rain] : Maroon 5’s music is very popular in Korea.

[Rain] : Listener ‘C’, “I even danced to Maroon 5’s music at a club in Singapore when I was traveling to the country where my elder lives.”

[Kang Yil Won] : Gotye topped the Billboard charts for eight weeks with his single ‘Somebody That I Used To Know’.

[Rain] : I think my favorite songs were introduced today. Time seems to go by so quickly. Well, who was the most popular singer during the first six months of 2012?

[Kang Yil Won] : It was Adele. Best-selling artist Adele has recently reached the peak of her popularity.

[Rain] : Adele’s popularity can be comparable to the late ‘Amy Winehouse’s.

[Rain] : Listener ‘Movie Star’, “I listened to Adele’s song once a day this spring.”

[KCM] : Listener ‘Yu Soo Kyung’, “There is something in Adele’s voice that captivates me.”
