Rain in A Love To Kill coming to KBS World.

Written by: Stephe Thornton, Managing Editor ^@@^

KBS World, the KBS TV affiliate that airs on local cable and satellite TV channels all over the world, and here in the U.S. with English subtitled programs, is spreading the word on their Facebook, their Twitter, their website, and on their YouTube Channel. They will begin airing one of Rain’s most memorable series, revenge drama A Love To Kill (2005) co-starring Shin MinAh, in less than two weeks!

As you may recall, “Kang BokGu” was the role that snuck up on us, that showed the incredible range that Rain truly had onscreen and literally made his acting career turn a corner. The tragic K-fighter was a whole other animal that, quite frankly, scared the crap out of you. You never knew what he was going to pull on you next.

And even after he cleaned himself up, his intensity was such that Rain was nowhere to be found. He looked like him, but he didn’t look like him. At all. The depths of Rain’s acting chops runs deep.

The first episode of A Love To Kill will broadcast on KBS World on May 7th. As of this posting, air times for each of the sixteen 70-minute episodes will be Monday through Thursday at 4:20 pm KST. Do check your local TV guides, and keep in mind that this is subject to last minute changes.

Don’t miss it!

Help me here! I´m confused [I´m supposed to know this as the fond-on Rain fan I am] but, I´ve been crazy about the song “Dream” of A Love to Kill OST, thinking all this time that it´s performed by Rain. But, I found K. Will [Korean singer] performing this song. I have this song in my Bi-Play-List since long time ago. [I even know the song by heart] The track that I have sounds like Rain so much. Does Rain also recorded it?
I´ve been looking up Rain´s discography for this song, I thought I knew all about him, an now I´m not as sure. [O I´m in pain!]

Question: Am I making sense? aiiish!

    • Adry,

Nope. The song “Dream” was recorded by KWill, not by Rain. (Whose voice I also adore, by the way…)

If Rain ever sang the song, I’m not aware of that. Stephe? Do you know?

      • I deserve to be slapped in the face, big time!. How could I confuse JiHoon´s voice? How? Does this make me a bad Cloud☁?
[ I guess I loved this song so much since the begining, I just wanted to hear Rain in it so badly! ].
Of course amazing voice, but not Rain´s definitely. aiigo!.

Right now I am as devastated as I was the day I found out the ending of A Love to Kill [ I-did-NOT-love-it !! ]

        • Forrainforever,

          Oh, dear. Please don’t be so hard on yourself. My goodness! :-}

It would be awesome to hear Rain sing it, wouldn’t it? (If he has sung it, I don’t know about it, but you never know. If anyone has heard him sing it, please let us know and point us to where we can hear it.)

And although I didn’t love the ending of A Love to Kill either, from a writer’s perspective (and likely an actor’s perspective), it was absolutely the perfect ending. Sad, but perfect.

Lee Kyung Hee is an incredibly talented screenwriter and I love her work. She had written some of my favorite dramas, including: Sangdoo, Let’s Go to School and Will it Snow at Christmas.

  5. In general this is not one of my fave kdrama, because of the ending but is my top 5 with rain in it because it really shows his acting skill. I despised him at the beginning which for me was shocker since I love this guy. I couldnt believe this guy was rain at all. After watching him in this drama I knew he was the real deal as an actor. In short words this man is amazing in anything he does.

  7. Such a sad drama, I really felt Rain’s pain and Shin Min Ah’s pain Good drama though. Anything with Rain is great.

  8. BokGu!!………..You’re right about his acting “chops” running deep! This drama had me staying up all night. Sleepy at work cause I just had to watch one more episode. No, you didn’t see Rain really and you didn’t even like him (BokGu) at first, at least I didn’t. I thought damn he’s a jerk. He does “mean” really well, but he looks damned good doing it! (SMILES)

    • Gurl. If I’d seen BokGu coming down the street, I would have crossed over to the other side. No messing with that dude, uh-uh. Mean as a snake! Makes you want to put him in a headlock if only he wouldn’t beat you to death for it. LOL!

      • BokGu’s THUGISM ran DEEP…the first 10 minutes…wow! I haven’t finished the entire series, but the part I have seen—he is really scary. But I must say, he is one of the most attractive “나쁜 남자 / Nappeun Namja” I’ve ever seen.
