From Stephe’s desk: My fantasy Rain playlist for America.
Every now and then, I run across a great song or an old favorite that really gives me the tingles, a song that I think Rain could do justice with those talented pipes of his. In ENGLISH. He’s got a special vibe going on that meshes perfectly with the vibes of some of my favorite artists, and the thick R&B bone he was born with would do him well here in the U.S. (something I’m sure he already knows… the man loves him some Soul).
Not only do we know he’s coming here to dive headlong into the next phase of his acting career (after the military), but you can mark my words that he’s never going to stop putting out music. Which means that I very well may be hearing him on my radio one day. In ENGLISH.
And so… when I’m rolling in my Escalade Hyundai and immersed in music, these are the sounds—whether he does an occasional cover or matches the vibe—that I think would have him lighting up our airwaves like a Christmas tree. (JiHoon, are you listening?)

MarLo and nicoleh73, whatever cities he performs this song in, they are not prepared for the issues they will have at that arena…..they won’t have enough paramedics to handle the Clouds…..hyperventilation, concussions (from hittin’ the floor hard while fangirlin’), dry eye (’cause you don’t want to blink and miss ANYTHING), memory loss (frontal lobes just fried), fainting, heart palpitations, excessive drooling, sweating like a bullfrog….etc, etc, etc

@MarLo, I like your choice as well. Bi is sexy and would really do wonderful things on stage with the Brian McKnight melody. I can also see him singing/performing this one too. The words are quite fitting as well.

Oh GAWD! This post is so unfair….there are just absolutely too many great R&B songs he could cover my mind is racing…..”Howevah.” The following song I would love to see him cover (1) because I think Bi could bring something fresh and new to music, just like the original singer did when he first came out (before he “mucked” himself up) and (2) It’s not your typical R&B song but I can see Bi making this song his own and doing a XXX Sexy as hell dance routine to this R&B groove.

Good grief,
My playlist changes every time I hear a classic love song. LOL. I always thing, “Man, I’d love to hear Rain sing that.”
As far as I’m concerned he can sing anything Barry White or Marvin Gaye sang and I’d be burnt toast.
I’m also going through a Boyz II Men phase at the moment. I’d love to hear him sing their hit “I’ll Make Love to You.”
And I’d give almost anything to hear (and watch!) him sing Usher’s “Nice & Slow” again, now that he has a better grasp on English. Mercy me. LOL.
For heaven’s sake, I’m going to shut up now, because I could go on forever. :-}

Its interesting Musiq Soulchild is on your list! :
* “The Reason” By Musiq Soulchild.- This one of my favorite songs by Musiq. I really like the vocal arrangements and I think Rain would do the song justice
* “Quickie” By Miguel- The lyrics would allow Rain to tap into his Naughty/Sexy side. Especially the part about ‘bite marks’. I already have an idea for the video in my head!
* “Sweetness” By Bobby Valentino- Its a combo of romantic and freaky. I like my Rain nasty.
* “Forever” By The Floacist- The Floacist is the former member of Floetry. This song is gorgeous. Its a duet with-you guessed it: Musiq Soulchild! Just replace Musiq with Rain.
* “So Gone (what my mind says)” By Jill Scott- This may seem like a strange choice, but I would love for Rain to do this from a man’s perspective. Jill could do the spoken word part.
Girl, don’t get me started. I’m a Huge R&B/Soul fanatic. My Vinyl collection is huge! Rain would have a box-set if it was up to me! 😛
