Blast from the past #110. Trampoline time!

Cloud cover by: Stephe, Managing Editor ^@@^

You’ve no idea how glad I am to see this again. My heavens!

Rain’s trampoline dance break has got to be one of the coolest things he has ever done. And seeing how it was put together is even cooler (even though I remember cringing every time one of their heads came a little too close to where the trampolines went under the edge of the stage). I imagine that the rehearsals beginning at 5 am was a good reason for Rain sounding like his poor head was stuffed with cotton. 🙂

It was this dance break that made our Jim a Rain fan forever.

Please enjoy this making of Rain’s trampoline dance, that was a part of his MBC Songs Festival special stage on New Year’s Eve 2008. He and JYP had their famous dance battle right after “Rainism”, and JYP symbolically passed the torch on to his little brother.

Some of the fan cams of this were flippin’ awesome.

And a Bonus:

This is an interesting (and pretty!) monitor shot of Rain’s performance on that day. I can’t explain my fascination with it. I suppose I just never expected such a shot to be so clear.

  1. Wow! Truly an amazing performance. By the time he does the trampoline stunt he has been moving non-stop for over 7 minutes. Then goes on to do more. I think he is the most giving entertainer there has ever been. Thanks for sharing this. That shot off the TV is quite fascinating as you pointed out. It’s like the gods were with you!
