Rain was interviewed by MBC News yesterday, before his Best Seoul concert stop.
Jesus lord, you would think that the Man was the ONLY Korean to ever go into the military at this age, the way everybody is carrying on about it. Well, he isn’t. In fact, people have gone in LATER than this. The most important thing is that he’s serving, right? What the big flipping deal, really?
Seems to me if people don’t have a flaw to point out, they’re just not happy. Ugh! And yes, he has stamina to burn. Believe it.

First of all, when did people start getting AARP cards at 29, Huh? I didn’t know the age dropped so dramatically. Secondly, when it comes to the military and anybody’s country, in times of battle or crisis….they will take ALL the ABLE BODIED men they can find and in some countries that might be a child barely out of diapers (figuratively)or a man well into his 40s (literally). When bullets get to flying, protocol be damned. That’s REAL TALK. So, WTF!!!
Third, Ji-Hoon there is NOT A DAMNED THING you have to be embarrassed about. You have/had EVERY RIGHT to advance your career, however long it took….DO NOT apologize for that EVER! Others could benefit from your example and that’s to be a MAN (key word…Man) WITH LONG TERM GOALS (key word…Goals)and setting himself on the path to “Make it happen, Captain!”
Never forget, these reporters get their palms “greased” too (by undercover jerks) in order to ask the right/wrong questions to embarrass celebrities like Rain, given the opportunity. As always, Rain handles himself gracefully and with class. GOODNESS….the Nerve!!!

I totally agree with everything everybody has said. This interviewer was rude!!! They act like he has been the only entertainer that has enlisted at a older age. They act like he is 90 years old. Rain does not even look like he is 29 years young. I mean 29 years old is young still. The government obvisouly allow you to enter at a younger and older age. He is going to be serving his military time according to the rules set by the govenment. I feel everybody life is different and what works for him might not work for someone else. I personally think Rain has made the right choice to wait until now to serve his time. I feel if he had gone in sooner he may have not be able to accomplish all that he has. Also, I feel because of all his accomplishment he was able to do is going to help him in continueing his career when he gets out. People need to mind thier own business and take care of thier own life. They should make choices that fit thier life and leave Rain alone to live his life. I will be waiting for Rain to return and will continue to support him always!!!!!!!!!!!

I totally agree with everyone on here, they were rude questions and as you can see, rain did smile and laugh it off a bit. Rain baby keep your head up and a smile on your face at all times 🙂

There you have it! That’s why I was soo mad the day Rain announced his date for enlistment. These stupid interviews and comments of narrow-minded people just make me go nuts with anger. His life has been tough enough and people seems to forget that. He didn’t choose to go to MS now that he’s older; I am sure that if his mom were alive he would have gone far earlier. But he needed to work hard for his family to get them out of poverty and provide an education for his sister. These people know that but keep trying to hurt his feelings because they are envious of his success. I am sure Rain is gonna be an amazing soldier, he’s in good shape and a tough guy with a hell of a strong mind so he will be succesful in this new path. We will be there for him during this time, giving our support and when this is over these people will see how powerful he’s become. Then their mouths will open but only in awe at his magnificent comeback.

Unfortunately that’s how media works almost everywhere. Good news don’t sell as gossip does. So all these interviewers fall in the same category, asking silly, stupid questions or trying to make them feel bad.
He is such a nice person and a profesional that he rather apologizes. If it was any other hollywood actress or actor for sure they will put these media people in their place. But that’s what we love of him. his unique way of treating people and be such a gentleman towards people who doesn’t deserve it anyways.

You know if I had gotten the wonderful opportunity to interview Rain, I would have not asked questions about his enlistment. Why ask ridiculous questions and try to make him feel bad. He is serving point blank, it’s not like he’s trying to dodge his duty. I don’t get why people question his ability because of his age…..have they not seen the man at work?! Frankly I doubt that he’s going to be having any trouble getting along with anyone….who’s not going to want Rain as bunk-mate/friend? Smh

gosh the more i see him in this interview i felt this guy very have STRONG image about who he confident in what he plan to do and what he doing. however rain NO NEED to be embarrass to ANYBODY i am happy so much what u have D-O-N-E-for the pass 10 year u think any this idol are or can replace like you uh?? Look at Rain closely… if somebody asks him how old he is, nobody would even think that he is already 29. His looks doesn’t reveal his true age coz he looks not a day older than 20. Btw, this lady looks smitten with Rain… like an excited fan who is about to meet her idol in person. And her questions were absurd like she ran out of interesting topics to discuss with him than criticizing his late entry into the military. Looking back over the number of years that Rain was in showbiz, he never had a day when he was not too busy either modeling, making CFs,movies, concerts, dramas, recordings and now he will have 2 yrs of non stop military service… when is your furlough?

Are you kidding me? I am so thankful Jihoon is a very strong minded man because life itself is hard enough without people constantly playing with your mind or ridiculing you!
Jihoon I feel has made very good choices for himself in his life, and after all it is HIS LIFE! Seriously people need to back off this man and take a long hard look into their own lives before they keep attacking him.
Jihoon you’ve done NOTHING to feel embarrassed of because if you had gone in sooner than now your path would not have worked out in the great ways it has….There is nothing but good for your future, please stay your course and to hell with this self guilt people keep trying to put on you.
