Rain files suit for unpaid wages from The Fugitive: Plan B
On Friday, April 8, Korean superstar, Rain, filed suit in Seoul’s District Court against “D Company,” the independent producers responsible for compensating him for his work in last year’s KBS television drama, The Fugitive: Plan B.
According to Rain, the company still owes him 400 million KRW (about $396,000 USD) for the work he did as a lead in the drama. Rain indicated that his contract stated that he would receive 50 million KRW (about $47,000 USD) per episode, for 16 episodes, plus the value-added tax (VAT) at a later date. However, he said he was only paid his original contract fees and a mid-project payment of the same amount. He never received the VAT or the rest of the money owed on the original contract.
To make matters worse, the producer tacked on 4 more episodes and a “Making of The Fugitive: Plan B” finale to the end of the drama. In spite of not being paid in advance, Rain agreed to appear in all of the extra episodes. He said:
“I was asked to appear in extra episodes without getting paid up front. Because I didn’t want to disappoint the viewers by rejecting their offer, I agreed to the extra episodes and completed the finale. After we finished filming, I received a promissory note from the producer, but it was not honored.”
Last December, actress Lee Na Young filed a similar suit against the same producers.

yes this was happen on LNY before she got made and piseeeeeeeeeee of on KBS that she did get at first i though she was way of to overreact on them but know this case are on my rain too i am not happy for all the dication and hardwoprking for they money did get full pay each one of them earn every penny of that filming travel city to city running tried ect and filming in HOT weather too espo rain he been work his ass* of for FUGUITIVE and what they did to them DID NOT GET PAY….rrrgggggggggggg i would be so Freaking so mad too and also i have say 2 penny of that they beeter be paying rain what he dersved every penny of his safile in filming he got alot HURT too common KBS u don’t to be in BAD record here PAY THE MAN rain is not play any game with his money nobody can “F ” with his monrys that right rain put u in court and he serious about that as well so….

Gawd, here we go again!!! But this time he must do it cuz he deserves every penny for the excellent job he did for Fugitive. Rain worked so hard for this series, in the sun, in the cold, running until literally drop, even got injured during filming and that’s something no amount of money can pay. These people should be ashamed for not paying a star like him.

They better get it together. This man deserves EVERY PENNY of the money he makes because lord knows he works his tail off giving 100% plus some! Jung Ji-Hoon fighting!!!!

This is probably another reason Rain did not want to do more episodes past the 20th. He probably was like I have not been paid all my money and I am working my butt off, enough is enough. I wonder if the other actors are having the same problem.

It’s not like they didn’t make enough money off of the drama. The drama became successful because if Rain. They should have paid him his money. SMH *-*

That is a shame they have not paid him all his money. Rain worked his butt off in this drama and even sometimes when he was hurt. They should be a shame of themselves for not paying him. I hope he win this case.
