“The Red Muffler – 2011” Rain and Sin Se-kyeong VS “The Thieves” Kim Yoon-seok and Jeon Ji-hyeon
Top stars have put their names on the line and are competing.
Two star-studded movies are about to go into filming. “The Red Muffler – 2011” about air force fighters and “The Thieves” which is about an international group of thieves.
Singer Rain, Sin Se-kyeong, Lee Ha-na and Yoo Joon-sang have gotten together for the movie “The Red Muffler – 2011” (directed by Kim Dong-weon). The Korean Peninsula on the verge of outbreak of war as the background, air force pilots fight to overcome this problem. It’s a action blockbuster worth more than 10 billion Korean won (about US$10 millions).
Rain, who isn’t far from being admitted into the army, has been active in Hollywood movies like “Speed Racer”, “Ninja Assassin” and more. This is his first Korean blockbuster and he will be playing along Sin Se-kyeong who rose to stardom in the sitcom “High Kick Through The Roof” and is being called the ‘bluechip’ of movies and advertisements.
There are other fancy stars besides them.
Lee Ha-na, Yoo Joon-sang and Kim Sung-soo who have been mainly lead roles in movies, are expected to play somber characters regardless of what role they are.
Another film being looked forward to is “The Thieves” with top stars.
Known to be the busiest actor in Chungmuro, Kim Yoon-seok and Jeon Ji-hyeon whose return to national screen is displaying interest are confirming their roles in the movie. Kim Hye-soo is also discussing confirmation and so is Lee Jeong-jae who enhanced his value through “The Housemaid – 2010” last year.
Director Choi Dong-hoon is directing the movie “The Thieves” and has made continuous big hits with movies “The Big Swindle”, “The War Of Flower” and “JEON WOO CHI : The Taoist Wizard”. It’s an action movie about a legendary thief and his girlfriend fighting for a huge diamond. The unusually brainy thieves, the structure of the movie and the character set-up is giving this movie the nickname “The Korean Ocean’s Eleven” with Brad Pitt and George Clooney as leads.
The movie is still waiting for more actors to come on board and will start shooting this April or May as soon as they’re done with casting.

i watched Ocean’s eleven coz of Mr. Clooney (failed to watch the sequels due to lack of interest though), and i’m so gonna watch Red Scarf coz of Rain.
Perhaps “The thieves” will win in the box office, but not really if they could make Red Scarf something like “Pearl Harbour” (watch Pearl H. coz of Josh btw… and it didnt dissapoint).

wowowo this going to awesome i could not wait to see rain 😎 he will be hottest pilot ever in that unifrom gosh this so excited to see and watch rain be so very handsome in here and also same time he TOP GUN too wooooooo !! i am all ”best fighting scenes up in the plot already eekkeke gosh i know rain will suceed this pilot flin living sky again ahahhahah can”t wait just can”t wait !!
i also hope their are some good romantic in here or at lease show some HOT KISS sence too coz, it will give rain more eye cany and popluar blockbuster too well, they said it was REMAKE so it sould mixture in here let wait ands see shall we!!

Well, Rain’s movie is getting lots of attention coz it’s the Korean War 40th anniversary and coz he is the leading actor. But you never know, people like thief movies and if they do something like Ocean’s Eleven they can get the upper hand. In my opinion, Rain’s movie should be the winner coz the buzz is that is gonna have amazing flying scenes and is going to appeal to Korea’s patriotism. It sounds that is gonna be an action movie first of all and I don’t like that coz that means no romance but anyway I would see it no matter what coz is baby Rain in it.

I really hope “Living In The Sky” for Rain is a blockbuster success. I am sending nothing but positive thoughts his way. I hope we get a chance to see it somehow someday.
