Fan account by proxy: Rain in the flesh, at MCM London.

[Cloud USA] Well, all…! Stephe here. What an amazing day January 25th turned out to be for Rain fans who descended on Sloane Street in Knightsbridge, London, to attend the MCM Boutique London RAIN Event.
One of those fans was our Cloud USA forum moderator and new Cloudburst London Fog group leader, a dynamic young lady that many of you know as the Purplezest‘ed One. Katie, our U.K. Connection and Queen of GIFs, did a fantastic job as our on-the-scene correspondent, and we knew that she would. She completely tired herself out though, like a champ, and will get her fan account/report to me for posting sometime later today.
In the meantime, I wanted to submit a pre-report for those of you who have been eagerly waiting for Cloud USA coverage. So here we go!
One of the first things Katie said to us was how much Rain was smiling throughout the event. He was smiling even more while outside talking to fans and signing autographs. He seemed really comfortable with the crowd (went right up and down shaking hands, and even signed autographs when he was leaving). He was thirty minutes late (I did notice that myself), but stayed extra minutes to make up for it, so he was there the whole hour, as promised. She got to the boutique early and bought her item, an MCM Apple iPhone case, right at the beginning, and so that meant… for a little while, only she and some MCM personnel were down in the autograph area with Rain.

It was rather odd, in her opinion, that when she did get down to the signing area, the MCM staff were simply staring at him. She was thinking to herself, Ehh… talk to the guy! Did she have the guts to talk to him herself? You know Katie. Yes. Yes, she did.
Katie: “I’m from Cloud USA.” *points to her ID*
Rain: *looks down at it* “Ahhhhhh… yes.” *smiles at her*
*pausing while everyone spazzes for a minute* 😀
He also asked her her name, which she told him, of course. She also told him that she hoped he enjoyed London. He smiled again, with a “Yes” and a nod. That, as we understand it, is where he got down to the business of signing her item. I’ll let her expound on further conversation, and shaking his hand twice and such a bit more in her fan account.
No photos were allowed taken down there, but there was really no need anyway with MCM’s professional photographer on hand. The photog took video of the folks waiting outside as well as still shots as fans went down to see Rain. When Katie receives her professionally taken photos (they will be sent to the fans by email), of course she’ll let you know on the forum and we’ll let you know here.
(Should I tell you how she said Rain’s lips in person are to DIE for? Sure, why not?) Rain’s lips are to DIE for, everybody. Pictures do not do those lips justice, according to your Woman on the Street. Oh, and psssst… he signed her Rain’s World album too. Ha!
I have to tell you all that when Katie » sent us these pics and videos while chatting with us after she’d gotten home last night (and Terri and I had gotten in from our local writers’ group meeting), she HAD to have heard us having fits over them, all the way to England, because they were so darned pretty.
We knew she would hit it out of the park (this is one hardworking gal here, folks). Please join us in congratulating Katie on a job well done. We are grateful, and so happy that she got to see and experience Rain in the flesh. She really deserved that.
And congrats to Rain on such a pleasant turnout. You were so gracious to your U.K. fans, JiHoon… but then again, we expected no less of you. You’re a gracious kind of guy, and we love that.

Katie we know you were as excited as anyone can be being so close to the man, but you did an awesome job not miss anything so we can this pictures and videos instead of living the moment right in there. And for that we are really grateful. Th guyank you so much for you hard work.
BTW did anybody check the chubby guy checking on Rain. Sadly for him Rain went directly to the ladies. LOL

Ooooo Weee!!!!!!!!!!! KATIE!!!!! This is just fantastic, lady!! I have a SERIOUS LIP fetish, so I am “dying” here! These pictures are just Beautiful and SO clear. Maybe he is a bit shy sometimes, or not……maybe he’s somewhat taken aback at just how famous he is truly becoming outside of Asia. He knows that’s the goal, but he may Just Be Realizing that it is coming to fruition. Well Ji-Hoon, by the time you get back to the U.S.A…….you WILL NEED that combat gear……SO GET READY BABY!!!!

what an experience hunh!!! Clouds and Rain? the energy is one awesome thing to watch. whether it’s in concert mode, fan meeting, fan greeting…just don’t matter. it’s always energy overload. i read on MCM facebook that more that 1600 never got a response (they wanted to attend). i guess that street would have had to be closed down if all of them had gotten a “come on down”, hahaha. happy you got there to share the love. thanks much for your ground report.

OMG, Katie! I’ve always wub you, girl. But I now wub you even more. Atta girl! We are so proud and happy (and envious) of you. I was able to experience “meeting Rain in the flesh” late last night through you LOL!

Girl you have nerves of steal!! Lol!! To being able to take such beautiful picts, to do all you did with The Man in the flesh in the same room; I have to congratulate you, love, that takes real guts. You are something else and I am really happy you got the opportunity to go there and be with him. Rain was soo handsome and charming that it was a real treat, a magical moment that happens once, so you can remember him forever. All I can say is that I felt like I was there with you and meimi so thank you very much girls for a fantastic job. Well done!!! <3<3 😀

also i wanted THE LIP TO DIE for million box we could but that it so making wowmen itching just by look at him he have such a sexual figture and look that one truly a million star we love right and his personalitly are so sweet and cool how i just wanted to give him a HUG!! I MEAN HUGE HUG!! am so glad rain get the most best excited U.K. happy from to his see snd suport with love and greet him he so happy for sure. 🙂

Thanks so much Katie for a job very well done. Looking forward to more pictures and vdocams. You were right, his lips are absolutely to DIE for, I think that’s his distinguishing feature that you’ll love best about him. I’m so happy that he was well received by the fans in the UK that he’d probably want to go back there someday.

oh! yes, he’s famous in the UK. check out the side board of “Rainsites” you’ll see Germany, France, Italy etc. and i just ran across YouTube channels galore over there with links to blogsites translated in french and German’s site in their own language. i believe with Rain’s “Back to the Basic” cd, we found his music translated into 9 different languages.
the man is loved everywhere.
but frightened and shy, never that when it comes to him interacting with his fans. did u see him get out of the limo and walk right into the crowd with hands extended? that ain’t shy or fright to me. but the more you explore this site which includes previous fanmeetings, the more you’ll learn about what and how he feels about his CLOUDS and how Clouds feel about him. he’s a keeper.
