Rain’s statement clears up questions I had. This is what I got out of his statement:
1.Even though Rain started J. Tune Entertainment he is no longer a part owner. Because he sold off all of his shares.
2. Rain is sign to J. Tune strictly as an artist. He nolonger has any say so in how the company is being managed. (I do not think he has any say so leagally but I bet they still listen to his ideas)
3. Reading between the lines Rain approached JYP I feel as a friend and presented the ideal that he should manage J. Tune Entertainment. He felt this would benefit his career and help J. Tune Entertainment stay afloat while he was gone in the MS.
4. Rain wanted to work with JYPE because of sentimental reason. Since he started out with him he wanted to end with him before he went into the MS.
5. JYP is not taking over J. Tune they are just partnering with J. Tune. This will allow Rain to focus strictly on being a singer and actor. He can focus freely on developing his career like he want before he goes to the MS. By JYPE and JTE partnering they would be a better company pulling thier resources together. This in terms will benefit Rain career development better.
6. Rain is till signed to J. Tune Entertainment and not to JYPE as an artist. He is in no way affiliated with JYPE. JTE and JYPE just entered into a partnership.
This is what I got out his statment. In concludsion I do not know how this will work out in the end. It all sounds like it will benefit Rain very much. I am going to trust Rain’s decesion and wait and see how it unfolds.
Also, I was thinking that when he was talking about the end,thanking his fans for loving him, and how he has devoted his full time in becoming know as BI in his 20s, it felt like he was saying goodbye. I feel Rain is thinking realistically that when he comes back after 2 years he may not be able to or want to pick up his career in singing or acting. If he doesn’t that is perfectly fine. I wish him the best in what ever he wants to do in life. I will always love him and support him if needed.

I am just wondering but he speaks of the end and stuff like that I hope after his 2 year stay with the military he continue performing or making movies but if he dont i wish him all the best on starting his family and working on having those 3 daughters that he want. I still feel so sad when he talk about the army may god bless him always he is such a beautiful person I hope one day to meet him in person to see that beautiful smile up close and personal

Did anyone forget he has no ownership anymore???…he is just the link between the two firms, glad to see he can broker the deal without conflict of interest, otherwise the media would have been on his ass so quick!!…congrats to both companies and I hope to see great things come out of these partnership, specially for BI and Mblaq, of course…lol 😉

Could it be that his management is beginning to recognize he has a helluva lot of English speaking fans now?! Are we finally being recognized?! Or is it that we question things more? The message was actually posted on his official website and it was in Korean. Of course, it was not posted in ENGLISH on the ENGLISH side. The notices on English side of his official website haven’t been updated since April 2010. The Messages “From Rain” haven’t been updated since March 2010.
The translations Cloud USA gets are usually from one of the members of The Cloud who is kind enough to translate the notices for everybody. So, all of these translations that you see on Cloud USA are from FANS, not from J.Tune.
I swear, I don’t understand J.Tune’s mentality sometimes. If you wanna make your star a world star, then you should be translating information into multiple languages. If I were in charge of communications at J.Tune, the first thing I would do is seek out a reliable translation service and make sure they translated every single notice I put up on the site into Japanese, Chinese, English, and MORE.
It simply boggles my mind.

I absolutely agree. Maybe when he goes into the military, he’ll give some serious thought as to exactly how he should proceed and with what management he should go with upon his return. It’s like what part of “you’ve got a world star to manage” do you not understand. I don’t want to insult anyone, but goodness JTUNE doesn’t get that Rain has to be able to CONNECT with the rest of the world In An Instant. I mean seriously! If you label him a World Star, that doesn’t mean the world of Just Asia.
