40,000 Fans Attend 7th Asia Song Festival in Seoul.

Some 40,000 fans from Korea, Malaysia, Japan, Thailand and other neighboring countries gathered Saturday night (October 23) to watch the performances of leading pop artists like Rain and BoA in the 7th Asia Song Festival in Seoul, South Korea.

The festival, held at the Jamsil Main Olympic Stadium, showcased the talents of some of Asia’s best singers. This year’s festival was also dubbed as a “G20 Concert” in line with Korea’s hosting of the G20 Summit in November.

Rain sang some of his hit songs including “Rainism”, “Love Song” and “Hip Song,” while BoA performed “Hurricane Venus” and “Copy & Paste.”

K-pop groups BEAST rendered “Shock” and “Soom” while 4Minute sang “I My Me Mine,” “Hot Issue” and “Huh.” The two groups also received the Asia Influential Artist Awards during the program.

2AM sang “I Can’t Let You Go” and “I Was Wrong” while KARA performed “Lupin” and “Mr.”

Other performers were Rainbow, Nine Muses, Lee Seung CHul, Teen Top, Ari Band, E.via, Kim Yeo Hee, Japanese girl group AKB48, Taiwanese singer Joe Cheng, Michael Wong from Malaysia, Bie the Star from Thailand and Jane Zhang from China.

The festival, hosted by Korean actress Eugene, also showcased the performers singing “Let’s Go,” a song composed for the G2O Summit.

This year’s festival was also held for the benefit of UNICEF.
