  1. Terri I agree a u.s. Tour on a small venue scale would be the perfect thing for JiHoon in all the major cities so those do and don’t know him can he can be upfront and personal with them,But I think although his singing of course will be Korean he should always speak in English and record it and do a HBO special he’s so damn cute and sweet the public will eat it up major cities like NY la atl Chicago Minneapolis Vegas Texas Miami their are small venues were he could capitalize on still I wish he would do a movie First and do talk shows and I’d still like to see him in breaking dawn this is a major franchise already and no one would forget him during his service time and when he comes out BAM hit up all the cites with a tour omg he would blow up in the u.s. Just my take*

  2. Hear hear,

The more I hear about the Zepp Tour, the more I think that these type of venues are exactly what his U.S. fans need from him.

Let’s face it. Though we Clouds love Rain, most people here in the U.S. still know Rain only as “that Asian dude who was in Ninja Assassin.” Yes, his U.S. Clouds know Rain is extremely talented, but when you think about how big the U.S. is and how many people live here and how diverse we are, it’s not surprising that it’s taking some time for people to discover Rain.

That is why I think that intimate venues (like our Cobb Energy Performing Arts Center, which has about 2700 seats, for example), would allow Rain to get to know his U.S. Clouds better, while also showing us exactly what he’s got to offer–up close and personal.

Not that I have any say in the matter. So, I will take what I can get. Still, I do truly hope he will consider a smaller-venue concert tour in more cities, rather than larger-venues in a few cities, for his return to the States. Such a tour may not be a huge money maker for him initially, but I think his overall returns will be greater in the long run.

    Just my humble opinion.

  4. I wish Rain can do a concert like this for the US so we can have a closer look to this talented man. No matter when, but I NEED to see him in concert; it’s a date. 😀

If you ever want to look up something like this from before you were around, go to the BLOG’s homepage (that’s this WordPress site), look for our “search” function in the SIDEBAR, and type in something VERY GENERIC. Right now, the search function is located above the calendar widget, but we change it’s location every now and then, depending on our mood (and just to make you crazy…okay no, not really…just to keep things fresh :-}).

So, for example, for this story you might type in Cartier (but you’d have to spell it right, of course :-}).

That will bring up ALL of the posts we’ve written, where we’ve talked about anything “Cartier,” including this one…

…which is the story I believe you’re referring to, rumors of his dating…(not true, btw.)

There’s a LOT of stuff to read on the blog. I suggest if you haven’t been here long that you go back to January 2010 and read some of our archives. There is some entertaining reading there (um…at least I think there is…)

  7. Oh yes, Laura,

    Me too!

From what I’ve seen of his concert footage, they certainly look like they would surely be worth the money (unlike many), don’t they? I sure do hope he has time to do a U.S. concert sometime soon–and before he goes into the military. But I can’t figure out how he would have the time to do that, so I’m not very hopeful of it.

And his last experience in the U.S. wasn’t a pleasant one, so he’s going to make sure that he’s more careful with his planning too–although he does have an American talent agency who surely will protect his interests better. I hope they will, at least.

Ah well. We can still dream, can’t we?
