MBLAQ started the show with “Oh Yeah.” The first night they were all in black and the second night white. Each introduced himself in Japanese after the song, but in the first night Thunder probably forgot some of his Japanese words. He gave a shy smile and said something in English (sorry I did not pay attention to what he said). They then performed “Y.”
The Saitama concert stage set up was quite “special.” There were 2 stages. The main, large stage had 2 levels like the ZEPP Tour, but there was a live band this time. There was a smaller stage a few meters in front of the main stage. The stages were not connected by a T, so during the performance our prince had to walk down the stairs from the main stage and walk up the stairs of the small stage quite often. (Poor prince, it must be hard work, but it was also an opportunity for our prince to show off! For a number of times in the second night, he “marched” from the main stage to the small stage in big steps like a boy scout leader. He looked so young, so playful, so cheerful – the most handsome, refreshing boy scout leader!)
Music started. A large cube with the [letter] R came down slowly from the ceiling and landed in the centre of the large stage. The sides opened and there stood our prince. He wore white suit with black collars, with a red hanky in the top left pocket. Black Tee, black trousers and black boot. He was so handsome and so elegant. Yet when he performed “Hip Song” he was at the same time so sexy and so powerful.
The run down of the concert was:

We knew Prince Rain was shooting The Runaway and he had a hectic schedule. During the talks he also told us it had been hard work for him. He obviously lacked good rest when I saw his eyes as he took off his sunglasses. He might even lack good meal as he hinted at one of his conversations. However none of these stopped our prince from delivering 200% of himself and giving us two wonderful performances. I could literally see sweats dripping and splashing down his whole body. I could see his trousers wet with sweat on the thighs. When I knew subsequently from his talks that he was very tired, and tiredness caused lots of sweating, my heart ached with the memory how sweaty our prince was during the whole performance.
Prince Rain chose a senior lady for “My Girl” in the first night. To me, that was a very sweet “date.” She was all smiles, bowing to our prince and to us all the time. She was happy but she maintained her elegant composure. I believed that’s the type our prince liked, and he was very gentle and elegant to her. It was so heart warming to see this mutual respect and trust between star and fan. I guessed our prince enjoyed his date so much that at the end of the performance he almost forgot to give the lady the video tape. He also had trouble in getting it out. After trying a couple of times a staff came up to help him. He said “ah” and figured out how to get it out finally.
For the second night he chose a little girl and her mother. The girl was probably too overwhelmed. She just kept looking at our prince with her innocent eyes, not quite knowing how to respond to him. Our prince talked to the mother and said in a rather surprised tone “oh, China.” He probably found out they were Chinese origin and when he said goodbye to them he said Thank You in Chinese.
The table and chairs for My Girl was set on the small stage, much closer to the arena audience. (In ZEPP tour it was on the high stage). When our prince sat on the chair casually, leg crossed and chatted to us, I felt such cozy, warm feeling. He gave us his cute look and smiles. Just as we were all under his spell, he sat there, very relaxed, and picked up his mic and sang “Love Is.” I remembered this scene very well. It’s like we were all sitting in a family room, enjoying each other’s company, and then your sweet heart sang a special song for you. Life was so wonderful and beautiful.
And I would always remember our prince’s performance of “Love Story.” Our prince said something before he sang the song in both nights. Even though I couldn’t understand, I could see that he was delivering a message. He then gave the most emotional and most passionate Love Story I had ever seen or felt. He was on a small stand, and in the middle part of the song the stand gradually rose from the floor, carrying our prince almost two [stories] high in mid air. It stopped there. We all looked up. Our prince was panting heavily. It was such great height. He was so lonely up there. It was performance but it was also real life. I was in tears and I got the message. No matter how much we loved him or supported him, there would always be a gap which none of us could fill. I hope all fans got the message too. I hope all fans would give our unconditional love and support to our prince, always remembering this scene.
If I went on with other details this fan account would be 50 pages long. So I would not repeat the many cute, lovely expressions that many of us have seen from the ZEPP tour fan cams. He had some unique sweet expressions depending on his mood and the response of the fans in each show, but he clearly enjoyed the age statistics survey as we had it the second night again! When he saw an 80 year old fan in the arena he bowed and pay respect to her, followed by I love you. In the second night during the encore part he went down to the arena and when he came back he had a head band with two red devil horns on. He gave a powerful solo dance, the headband fell down onto his face, he let it remain there, covering almost his eyes and continued his dance. A playful, naughty angel disguised as a devil!
I would just give a brief account on “Nan” before I ended my account with the encore part. We had watched this water pouring down signature scene many times. But for the first time our prince gave us the opportunity (or he wanted us!) to appreciate his whole upper body. Towards the end in the first night, he turned his back to us, arms stretched out, exercising his back muscles. Beautiful and attractive. When I had dinner afterwards with 3 friends, two of them were still mesmerized by his back. The third one couldn’t remember any details but his front body. Dear prince, you got us again!
Encore. After singing “With You” (and after “Fresh Woman” in the second night) we had the jump and dance part. While everyone was happily jumping and dancing, our prince emerged wearing a MJ mask over his head. He performed the MJ dance steps. He even performed the front falling, almost loss of gravity move (sorry if my description is layman, I didn’t really know the technical terms). MJ relived on stage via our prince. Got ya, dear prince. You said it all.
In the second night there was a small water battle after the dance and jump. Our prince splashed water on others and on himself. The beard dancer (remembered our prince said he always got bullied by this guy?) suddenly poured some water into our prince’s pants. This caught our prince by surprise and he pulled his pants to check (or to stop). If he had pulled a bit further we would all be able to see what colour underwear he had!
Then our prince got into a small golf cart with some dancers and drove around the arena. The whole concert hall went wild as fans all tried to follow him. I couldn’t see him very clearly the first night as he was in the driving seat and got overwhelmed by exciting fans. My friend said he was a bit nervous because of the crowd so he had to drive very carefully, while the dancers helped to fan off the excited crowd. For the second night they got smarter. A dancer drove the cart and our prince sat up high, waving and smiling to fans in all areas as the cart drove along. I felt so proud and so happy. Our prince was on a parade waving to his loyal subjects. He was more than a prince then. He was our King.
When they were all back on the main stage, our King gave a final solo dance piece before they all lined up at the back of the stage, ready for the door to close and say good bye to us. However our King probably enjoyed our cheers and screams so much that he decided to have another show off. He came out from the line again and did another solo dance – that’s when he performed the MJ front fall, loss of gravity move. He surely was full of his prince complex at that moment, knowing well we would be totally mesmerized.
And then he stood back with his team and bowed and bid us goodbye.
And I pledged my full unconditional love and support to you, dear King and our Little Prince!
