World Cup Updates: Day 2, Saturday. Rain was stoked. :)

REALITY:  FIFA World Cup 2010

S. Korea 2 — Greece 0

USA 1 — England 1 (tie)

Argentina 1 — Nigeria 0

Team captain Park Ji-Sung (of the “Again, Korea!” CFs with Rain) scored S. Korea’s second goal, which came in the second half of play in the match against Greece.  The US and England gave rather lackluster performances during their match, and I’m not sure why.  Lots of simple errors and missed opportunities—and Yellow Cards were collected like kindling.  Ah, well.  It happens.  The good news is that both the US and South Korea have started off in the black.  *cheers and whistles*

Asian news source Sports Josun reported yesterday that Rain invited his friends and dance Crew over to his place to watch the South Korea/Greece face-off.  After the game, he is quoted as saying, ” Our team beating Poland 2-0 in a 2002 qualifying match comes vividly to mind again.  This game, as that one did, had me very excited.”

He gave Team Han-Guk high praise for their performance, spoke of how the team so excelled in offense and defense that he had enjoyed the game with no worry, and then flashed a thumbs-up.

From Josun article: “This 2010 World Cup, like in 2002, has truly excited me.”
