Remember this blast from the past, Rain’s 2004 Special Performance for winning the Daesang best newcomer of the year award? With DJ Doc and MC Mong? Doesn’t his HIP SONG comeback performance (see our post below) remind you of this, except that he’s all in black instead of white?
The “back to the basic” phrase means a lot more to Rain than we’ve realized up to this point. He’s returned to the very moment he realized his promise to his mother (winning the Daesang), he’s returned to his hip hop times, and he’s come back to his roots and his beloved Korean fans.
