“Kang Bok-Gu” meets Young Hip Korea.
If Kang Bok-Gu, Rain’s tragic character in A Love To Kill, were a young, hip, Korean model… THIS photo shoot is what you would get. Rain was so deeply into Bok-Gu here, I’m guessing this had to have been done during ALTK filming or right after it wrapped. My goodness. This is not our Ji-Hoon at all. This is the dangerous K-1 fighter and violent thug that I would have been afraid to walk on the same side of the street with. This is the character that was so stuck on inner pain and self-destruction, I couldn’t help wanting to save him (from a distance). And Bok-Gu actually takes on an additional layer here without his bodyguard persona—one of physical beauty. I am stunned.
Rain’s acting range is incredible. It was during A Love To Kill, in fact, when I realized the man would have absolutely no problem playing Raizo.
