[video] Rain at the European luxury brand MCM/Lotte opening.
In Seoul. We know it was 10 am on a cold morning, Korea time, but it looked to us like Rain wasn’t really into this event, though he was being very polite. And frankly, we don’t blame him. The man can’t seem to sit down and rest for five minutes without being summoned to an appearance somewhere. How about someone give him a break? Thank you.
In fact, he seemed to not be feeling well—a slight head cold, maybe? (We are moms and we know The Look.) The way people would turn away in mid-conversation and forget he was standing there, or not include him in any conversation when he right there looking at them, or walk right by without so much as a head nod, didn’t sit well with us either. (Maybe we’re just not used to seeing him all by himself in public like this.)
But we appreciate having this video and wanted to show it to all of you because: 1) he is as handsome as they come in it, and 2) it took place this past Tuesday the 18th (14 hours ahead of our time, but who cares about technicalities) and how often is that that a US Cloud can see footage of Rain from a mere three days ago? To us, that’s like watching him on a live feed. — Stephe ^@@^ 🙂

Stephe here.
Okay… I just watched the video of the “Narsha humiliation” incident in question. Tae-Woo had handed the cell phone off to an older man. The older guy was talking to Rain when it appeared that Rain got accidentally disconnected or his call dropped.
While Rain is happily chatting with the older man, you can hear his voice start to mix with some static, as if the connection is going bad, before it clicks in the old man’s ear.
That’s just the way it looks and sounds to me. Why anyone should be humiliated at all is beyond me.

“the man can’t seem to sit down and rest for five minutes.” so true. it seems everybody wants his presence to enhance their own.
isn’t it funny how things turn out? here’s a guy who with the help of only one person managed to crave out his own spotlight. and now everybody wants to use his light to shine on them. i knew the lady with the short hair cut looked famalier. Rain was at her first function a few months ago in NY. i learned she is the new CEO of the MCM brand. so now it seems, she invites Rain to any function that she has. i wonder is it some sort of partnership or agreement? though, i’m sure Rain gets paid for his appearances. just him being there, brings attention to her event and i think that’s her goal. however, i also just read where Rain’s friend(who sings I Love Rain), called him unexpectantly because someone said he was their ideal man and the host of the wanted to know what he thought about that. Rain discounted the call and now an article pops up saying the girl got humilated. but, i say Rain was the one imposed upon and humulated, because they showed no regard for him by doing that.

Oh wow, I read that too, and I have to say I didn’t like it at all. Seems Tae-Woo and his G.O.D. pals have had a habit of doing this kind of thing to Rain for years, calling him up without letting him know that he is live on the air and trying to get him to say embarrassing things that will make the audience laugh and yes, humiliate him or someone else. I have seen this so many times and I think it is disrespectful for a friend to do. As I recall, one of those times got him in DEEP TROUBLE when it came to HyoRi. Not funny.
I did see where Rain turned the tables on Tae-Woo once, but he was only trying to get him to sing the Three Bears song, not make him say anything that would cause a scandal.
With this latest incident, I thought that Rain was just accidentally disconnected (you know how cell phones are, dropping calls), but if he did hang up himself, I’m glad he did and I don’t blame him for doing it. Knowing him, he will probably call the girl who was embarrassed and apologize privately. Huh… I wonder if he’ll accept Tae-Woo’s possible lunch invitation now?

Interesting video.
He did look a little bored, didn’t he? But seeing as how most of the people were too busy greeting each other and ignoring him, I probably would have been bored too. Lol. I’d like to think that if I had been there, though, I at least would have been polite enough to have included him in some part of my conversation.
Then again, I also probably would have asked him to please take off those sunglasses. Okay, that would have been a little breach of etiquette itself. So, I probably would have softened the blow by adding “so I can see your lovely eyes.”
Still, I know me. So, I probably would have said it anyway, because 1) I’m a mom, and 2) over here in the States, it’s sort of rude to wear your sunglasses indoors, especially while mingling at an event.
And was it cold or were they outside or something? Why was he wearing a coat? No one else was. So, I also probably would have asked him to “take his coat off and stay awhile,” because it’s also sort of rude to wear a coat indoors at an event where no one else appears to be wearing one. (That’s assuming it was indoors, of course.)
Maybe he was simply trying to make some sort of fashion statement, but what it looked more like to me was he kept his sunglasses and coat on for a quick ESCAPE. Lol.
That being said, he still looked lovely. As usual.
