There has been a huge influx of new Rain fans, and Rain has mentioned working on new music. Now is a great time to go all the way back and get folks up to speed on his albums, from 1998 to 2017!
The seventh installment of my Rain Career Music special series celebrates when Rain dropped his next Korean offering Vol. 5: Rainism in October 2008. This was his first album on his own, without JYPE. He was back on the Korean music scene after a l-o-n-g break in the USA and Germany filming Hollywood movies Speed Racer and Ninja Assassin. His Rainism comeback, fully covered by the press and in the Discovery Channel documentary series Seoul Vibes: Hip Korea (aired in late February 2009), was a huge success. Korea was thrilled to have its Magic Feet back! The album’s success lead to a gorgeous Rainism Repackage album a few months later. ^@@^

Fan made. “My Way”… Rain’s autobiographical song. There were so many great fan cams made with it, but this one has always been my favorite. ❤ ^@@^
Clip. Rain opened his Legend of Rainism world tour (Summer 2009) with “My Way”. This was the first concert stop, at Saitama Super Arena in Japan. As always, he had the audience and those of us at home in the palm of his hand! ^@@^
Official MV. This amazing Rain compilation for the “September 12” music video contains footage from his Six To Five fashion photo shoots, his Esquire magazine photo shoot in L.A., making the “Love Story” MV and hurting his hand in the process, “Rainism” choreography rehearsal in L.A. and rolling his ankle in the process, his “Rainism” comebacks on Music Core and the 2008 MKMFs (now the MAMAs), a fan meet, and a little rest and relaxation in general. Just… wow! ^@@^
Clip. Rain and the crew go retro and nerd-tastic for “Fresh Woman” on Music Core, hahaha! ^@@^
Clip. Rain’s return to the Korea and its music scene made official at the MKMFs (now named the MAMAs). This is undoubtedly the most spectacular performance of “Rainism” ever and one hell of a comeback stage, from walking on “water” down a 45-degree moving incline (WHAT??) to the very last song. And the fan cams that came out of it. Insane! But that’s Rain! ^@@^
Clip. “Love Is” and “My Girl”, from the Legend of Rainism world tour (Summer 2009) second stop in Seoul. Two of the most beautiful songs to ever come out of Rain’s mouth. Holy smokes! ^@@^
