[37 images][news][links][19 vids] 비 Yourself Open Thread for 6/1 — 7/31/2019. N001 overload!
There has been a large influx of new Clouds and new Rain fans, and Rain has mentioned working on new music. So, now is a great time to go all the way back and get folks up to speed on his albums, from 1998 to 2017!
My second installment of this series celebrates the time when 20-year-old 비 left his JYPE dancer status and debuted as a solo singer with first album n001 in Spring 2002. Yes, I said n001! Many sources and articles out there tell you Rain’s first album was titled “Bad Guy” and that’s WRONG. They all cut and pasted bad information from an original source and from each other, and didn’t bother researching to see if the info was right.
The first song Rain released was “Bad Guy.” His first album was n001. Proof. ^@@^

REMINDER: Rain’s birthday is on June 25! World Cloud took up donations early (this past April) from 10th Clouds and fans for his birthday gifts. Terri and I sent a donation on behalf of Cloud USA, and we’re also ordering something to send to South Korea from Cloud USA, so the bases are covered. I wish we could’ve sent a box of birthday cards from y’all, but due to circumstances beyond my control, there just wasn’t time to get a notification out. But, hey — there will be more chances to come together and support him together in the coming months, right? Right! ^@@^

DID YOU KNOW? “Instead of Saying Goodbye” live on Music Camp. A month or so after “Bad Guy” was very well-received, the South Korea national soccer team became prominent in the World Cup and took the country’s complete attention away from Rain’s new single. ㅜ_ㅜ But instead of starting a whole new album, he released this second track from n001 and won the public’s attention right back. Victory! His star continued to soar and never came down. That album should have been called SMART GUY. 😀 ^@@^

I’ve watched a lot of Andre Kim’s celebrity fashion shows and he’s notorious for putting those thick platform soles on everybody but I love how Rain doesn’t have them which keeps him at equal height with the models that do. lol
And how Rain is rocking that fur. I normally don’t like to see man in fur, but I’m enjoying how he walked like heir to all that mattets while the guy next to him (who I’m not sure but might be actor Ryu Soo-Young) looked totally uncomfortable in it. lol

hahaha 😉 I’m not sure what the “n” is for… although I suspect “001” is the number of the album because even though all of his full studio albums (except this one) have official titles to them, Rain also gave them official volume numbers (2, 3, 4, 5, and 6).
That’s my guess, anyway.

I am so thankful that I was able to see him, finally!! his Vancouver, Canada show on June 7, 2019. As an entertainer, Rain is amazing and fantastic. He is gracious to his fans. As a person, Jung Ji Hoon is funny, sincere and so kind. I will always be his fan!!!
