That’s right! For those of you who haven’t heard yet — I was sort of MIA during Thanksgiving holiday week too, it just is what it is^^ — Rain’s new mini album MY LIFE愛 and new music video are getting ready to drop from Genie Music on December 1, according to Rain’s latest V-Live talk and R.A.I.N. Company on their Facebook page, OR December 5, according to some album pre-order sites. (Pre-order links below. ↓)
In the meantime, Rain has released one song from it, a GORGEOUS new ballad with fellow The Unit mentor Jo Hyun Ah of the group Urban Zakapa. Rain says she wrote the song and they both contributed to the lyrics.

I am so glad you are back on the scene. Praying for you. This blog has got me reeling. So much has happen where to start? The release of “Goodbye fell on my birthday and I binged like crazy.
Have you seen the DINGO video? I like watching it. The essence of the song and the blending of their voices, are captured. When I hear it, I want to love him and cry at the same time. Like his expressive face, he can wring so much out of a song with his vocal coloratura. I fell in love a few of his songs before ever seeing a dance video. (with your help Stephe)
I have ordered my album and waiting for “GANG” to come out. The teaser knock my socks off.
I will be patient, when he think the time is right will be will be rewarded with a glorious picture album of ” Family Bears” .

@WalkerKwan The song sounds great. Congratulations to RAIN. I want to see the English Lyrics. They both have wonderful voices. Jo Hun sings beautifully. As a writer I would love to have someone with a voice like that sing my songs. Music that sounds like that inspires me always. Love songs, make-up songs, break-up songs, goodbye-songs, all can sound so beautiful with the right words and music. Songs that sound so beautiful like their “Goodbye” song, definitely inspire me.

When I first heard this song in YouTube, I could only marvel at how S. Koreans totally don’t get how beautiful his voice is. They focus on his dancing (which he is a beast) but they introduce him as “a dancer” when he’s the total package. I know his voice isn’t the standard soft upper register that is so popular in the Kpop world (of which I’m extremely ignorant and only listen when something or someone calls my attention to something so feel free to correct me if my description of Kpop singers is wrong), but his raspy yet smooth tone… just melty and beautiful.

I haven’t seen anything but videos with pics of Rain and Tae Hee mixed in with pics and thumbnails of random babies, to get people to click and watch. Some people are even using pics of one of her kdrama characters that gave birth on that show, as if it’s her with her real baby, LOL.
There’s even some random guy in scrubs holding a newborn, LMAO. Truthfully, I haven’t even been looking for any pics. I don’t expect to see Rain Droplet for a good while, unless someone sneaks an unauthorized pic and is stupid enough to publish it. I would think Rain and Tae Hee would be too scared to expose her or her name at this age and be all about protecting her privacy, what with the antis and nefarious folk waiting to take advantage just because it’s their baby.
Please post the video link here in comments so I can take a look at it, okay? You never know!

Nope, none of these babies are our Droplet. The first one is the baby daughter of a celebrity couple in the Philippines, the second is the “actor” baby her character gave birth to in one of her K-dramas (she’s lying next to it), and the rest are all random kids. Isn’t that crazy? This lying YouTuber even put other women with Rain a few times — I see a Chinese supermodel and I see HyunA up in the mix, LOL. Wow. I think there’s even one going around with Kim Tae Hee and one of her sister’s kids. *shrug* I don’t know how anyone has so much time to waste physically making this kind of stuff. Maybe if they have a trust fund lying around and don’t have to work, or eat?
I think that when/if Droplet is seen (a big IF), it will either be by Rain personally on his social media, an official magazine shoot like he and wifey did in Harper’s Bazaar, or maybe officially introducing her to the world on a major show like The Return of Superman. Unless someone betrays him and does something nefarious. JMHO
I LOVE Park Hyo Shin!!!!!! The Voice From Heaven, ahhhhhhh!!!! He was about to come out of the military when Rain was going in (2011). He showed Rain the ropes for a few months and got the hell out of there. That’s when I discovered him, when he was a soldier! I play his music all the time. A couple of my favorites are Luther’s “Superstar” and the one he did for the Army with rapper Mithra Jin, Yoo Seung Chan, and Kim Ji Hoon, called “A Great Man.” The intro to his military radio show that he sang used to set my lady parts on fire. LOL! (It’s okay! Rain gave us all permission to “cheat” while he was serving his country, LOL)

Park Hyo Shin is my second Korean “musical boyfriend” (in my mind) LOL. Love, love, love his voice. Yes Pappa Bear, I “cheat” from time to time with Hyo Shin’s videos I can’t lie. With that said, I guess Big Daddy is like “hold up….I can’t have my Clouds sneaking off, listening to other singers….oh no…not having it.”

@Beez, their military videos are all over YT. There are many with Park Hyo Shin too. Once you click on one, it’s the “so on and so on and so on” effect. LOL. You’ll be on YT all day. SMILES. This is also how I found much of Rain’s early career achievements some years back, BTW.

@BiAlamode I agree with that order. Rain is sexy just because… hello walking definition. Park Hyo Shin is so nerdy but fixed up and to me, he looks more comfortable in his black thick -rimmed glasses but when he sang Superstar… he made me have a response that Mr. Vandross never did. No disrespect because nobody can ever rank above Luther vocally in my opinion, but I think knowing LV was gay from the moment I laid eyes on him just made me appreciate the wonderful vocals but it never illicited the same type of response in my body. lol that – Everytime I type “my body”, I hear Rain “my bodddd-ee, my boood-eee”. (what song is that btw? I’ve watched tons of Rain’s performances on YouTube but half the time, don’t know the titles to the songs. )

With around 100 songs out there (probably more), I imagine his body is in more than a few of them. 😈

Of course, you were right, Stephe. It’s “Nan”. The title of the video says “Legend of Rainism” and I never noticed the word “Nan” because it’s unfamiliar to me and was squeezed between some other words. So I looked up the English lyrics and still have no clue what “Nan” means. Anybody? (Not that it matters ’cause I could listen and watch him sing that a thousand times. Probably passed a thousand by now. )

Well @Beez, Park Hyo Shin may not have started out “pretty” in the classic sense, but his financial status has afforded him the opportunity to make it so. I would say he’s “grown” into his looks. His incredible talent, coupled with his magnetic stage presence is quite appealing and quite sexy…..at least to me. No disrespect to Rain’s world here either, but facts are facts. You don’t have to have just a sexy body to “pull me in”….personally speaking. For me, it takes Sooo much more than just that these days.
I find that the older I get I put more emphasis on substance. The Park Hyo Shin’s of the world may not have been a draw for me in my younger days. I probably wouldn’t have appreciated his gifts as much back then. Now, as a woman of a certain age…..oh yes, Hyo Shin could sing me into a hazy daze (with all that implies) and I wouldn’t know what hit me…(LOL being honest). Listen to his song “My Love” and you’ll know exactly what I mean.
Rain is an entertainer that has also reached these levels and gets it me thinks. He knows he can’t just say “I got a hot body, therefore they will come to me”……(although, Damn it’s a hot ass body indeed SMILES). Rain has matured and so has his core audience. He had to “slaps us silly” with his new music. He knows he can’t take his Clouds for granted and I don’t feel he has. He put his “claim” back on us.
I’d say his new music got My attention……woke Me right up! LOL.

@BiAlamode – what I meant by PHS being “fixed up” was not to say he came in an unattractive package to begin with. I was just observing how he went from nerdy glasses, to much better hair cut, to sandy dyed longer hair to platinum blonde and sometimes stage persona – Prince-esque (as in The Artist Formerly…) Same face he’s always had though.
As to our Main Man though, does anyone know if there is a backstory to how he chose the name Rain? (I often marvel that he’s written/ performed so many songs with rain as the theme. I include How to Avoid the Sun in that list as that’s how my brain works.)

From what I remember, he got the nickname during his early years in his training days or just prior to. It was with respect to his dancing abilities. I believe his young homies first started calling him that. The name stuck (as they say), so he (Rain) decided to make it his stage name when he was about to make his debut as a solo performer.

Pappa Bear put the clamp down on giving out any information about his home life, according to a recent interview. So I don’t think we will be seeing any buttons, bows, baby booties or diaper bags anytime in the near future. He said she’s got double eyelids in the interview……other than that….it’s a wrap on him giving out information in that regard. LOL.
Although, there was a part of me that thought “why you gotta be all stingy” with the baby pic. LOL. But seriously, I really do understand. People are damned crazy and I’m sure I wouldn’t expose my newborn to the madness either. Now the missus is a celeb herself so maybe she might surface sometime in the near future. However, I wouldn’t expect her to do any talking either. Something tells me Pappa Bear has “done” put his foot down to all family members. Heck, we still don’t know what Hana really looks like after all these years……is she even real? LOL. *just kidding*

You’re right about Hana, very private. I’ve only seen maybe three pics of her over the years…and a few that aren’t, lol. I remember when she shared a few pics off her Twitter and off Cyworld, Rain’s personal items arriving at their house a few weeks after he enlisted, pics of doggie General (Janggoonie)… and then she kind of totally went private. Can’t say that I blame her, you know? 🙂
