[6 images][八月未央] Endless August check: The latest news, and how it’s going.
— Cloud cover by Stephe, Managing Editor ^@@^
9/24. The 7 images in this recent slide show on Toutiao.com were taken back in August, when Rain was leaving his hotel as usual, on his way to the set. The media is reporting in the slide show that Rain didn’t seem to be affected by China’s alleged decision to restrict Korean artists activities in China.
I’m not surprised. We’re talking about RAIN here. In the last year and a half alone, he has poured money into Chinese businesses with his Squall Concert Tour, his movie, and first TV drama (which had views in the billions). Not to mention his 6 major Chinese product sponsors, 4 of which still have current contracts with him as we speak, and several of them are gigantic super mega-conglomerates who wouldn’t just sit there and watch their fashion icon/world star/brand ambassador yanked from all of their sites. All that money, up in smoke? Maybe later on, but not right now. JMHO
I have read articles that reported some Korean artists have been dropped from ongoing or upcoming work, and it’s a damned shame if it’s true. 😦 ^@@^
It appears that Rain’s on-location work filming Endless August has progressed well since his arrival in Shanghai at the end of June. He should be finished and wrapping his role up in a couple of weeks.
It is said that he still has to film scenes in Montreal, Canada, but no additional info about that has been released so far.
The broadcast dates for Endless August have yet to be determined, and early speculation indicates that it won’t be until 2017. Time will tell, so please stay tuned. ^@@^
Big thanks for your continued patience and understanding when it comes to us not posting images or videos showing Rain filming on the set. Equal thanks to Clouds and fans who are also not posting! 🙂
Rain and his management wouldn’t ask such a thing unless it was important and truly necessary. So, even though we’re having to bite the bullet because we really do want glimpses of him doing his thing in Shanghai, we are complying willingly. Casting him in a bad light with the production company or causing him extra, unnecessary work when he is so exhausted is unacceptable.
Apparently, that has already happened, according to an article out of Singapore on 8/30.
The production company is not allowing any outside photography or video-taking on the set (they might be trying to protect Rain, Victoria, and the project by keeping a low profile in the face of the Chinese government making trouble for Korean stars, that’s my guess). And yet scenes have had to be filmed multiple times despite shooting day and night, and a scuffle happened between a crew member and a student, all because of people and reporters still trying to get pictures.
The Chinese news pics and news clips showing up have been taken secretly by stupid paparazzi. I got that straight from R.A.I.N. Company. And I refuse to post those, too.
Like the Rain Cloud in Hong Kong said on their Facebook page recently, we can’t stop people from causing trouble at the set, but we can help stop the spread of the photos and such and Rain’s work being compromised by not posting them.
What I’m hoping is that, at some point, the production company itself will make official Endless August stills and promo material available. They’ll have to for marketing purposes anyway, right? So, the name of the game right now is simply patience and not re-posting the stuff posted by the fans who don’t care.
Again, thanks, everyone! As soon as there is more news to spill, I will!
Tah for now.

You know there’s a lot I want to say here, but alas I won’t. I’m annoyed though. It’s frustrating as hell to be an American fan of this man.
But….not to worry I still “love” you snookums………(as a fan only). Let’s make that CRYSTAL clear.

Yes being a foreign fan of his is frustrating, but, because we love him so much. Both as a brilliant artist and wonderful person it makes it easier to wait for any information about him. How many celebrities can asked that of his fans and get it. I fear that with fame comes the fish bowl effect. I am truly proud of my follow Clouds following His request.
Hang in that my dear…we are all hanging with you.
