Rain launches his new entertainment company and signs on the dotted line

After a September filled with questions concerning entertainer Rain‘s decision to leave Cube Entertainment and whether or not another agency was in his future, October has yielded an answer. In a statement released on Rain’s official website this past weekend, his newly launched management agency R.A.I.N. Company announced that the mega-star (a.k.a. Jung Ji Hoon) has signed an exclusive contract with them effective October 1.

I’m curious. Didn’t he created his own agency years ago and didn’t work out? I wish him the best truly. I just wondered what’s different now than last time.

- Hey there. Yes, he launched J.Tune in 2008 whan he left JYP and it worked for a while but ended badly for several reasons. The CEOs weren’t taking care of him or business properly . They ran the company into the ground and left Rain hanging, IMHO. JYP showed up and merged with it, and Rain got the heck out of Dodge to save his career in 2011. He went into the army a free agent. J.Tune was operating the way the usual South Korean agency does . That’s not the case with the new agency. Check out my DF article… it explains the difference in better detail.

  - I just hope that this new agency don’t end stabbing him on the back. But after everything he has gone through I’m sure he has learned to whom he should trust in this kind of business.

- I agree with you wholeheartedly, Marie. I could just burst with pride. He’s such a hard worker, an inspiration. Not perfect (his own words), but an amazing example of a human being. I can’t imagine not being a Cloud, not for one second.
