From Stephe’s desk: I wonder how Rain feels about the “no selfies” rule at the MET Gala… :)

As far as we know, there’s been no concrete confirmation from Rain’s camp that he’s going to the 2015 MET Gala (themed China: Through the Looking Glass) in New York City. (So what else is new?) BUT…
Taking into account that one of the Costume Institute Benefit Gala co-chairpersons, Wendi Deng Murdock, included Rain’s picture along with other confirmed attendees on her Weibo account today… (Image credit: 邓文迪 [Deng Wendi] @Weibo, 5/2)
AND: Vogue China has included Rain in their post about confirmed attendees and tagged him in that post… (Source: Vogue服饰与美容 @Weibo, 5/1)
AND: Wu Yi Fan’s (ex-EXO member Kris Wu) fans said Vogue China’s Weibo post translates to say that he, Zhang Ziyi, Fan Bing Bing, Sun Fei Fei, Zhao Wei, and Rain will be sitting at Vogue China’s main table together… (Thanks, ladies! ❤ )
AND: Seeing as Rain’s reps weren’t quick to deny it, the way they usually do when something is definitely a no-go…
Chances are good he’s going to be there.
Some folks perusing the Net are wondering why Rain is on the list of Chinese celebrities/guests, and why he’s slated to be at that table. The answer is because, as I understand it, it’s Vogue China’s table and they sponsored his Yves Saint Laurent “Dangerous Reds” campaign this year. It’s all about connections, and he definitely has those.
I wonder how he feels about the “no selfies” rule at the Gala this year? (Everyone’s fair game at the after-party, I suspect.)

It’s funny. It took a Chinese themed event to get Rain back on this side of the ocean (Possibly).
Even if he happens to come here and be spotted (photographed), it’s gonna feel weird to seen him there.
As far as the selfie thing goes, I don’t think Rain will care about that quite honestly. He’s very polite when it comes to the rules of any function he attends. I’m sure he’ll get his fair share of pics at the various after parties.
