  1. My heart goes out to all the family and friends of those lost in the tragedy. But, the more logical side of me thinks that’s a lot of money and time and plans to just throw away, it might have been fitting to continue with the concert and turn it into a memorial or sorts. Dedicated to those lost in the flight have someone sing a song specific for those lost. I know the whole mood of he concert would be changed and it would be hard to sing upbeat songs under the circumstances but the practical person in me just thinks there could have been a better way to handle it. Hope that doesn’t sound cold. 😦

    • It doesn’t sound cold to me, Dot… I wonder if they considered that before canceling…

    • It could also be that “the powers that be” in that country may have strongly stressed to those concert organizers to cancel. The “eyes” of the world are focused big time over there and their government might be like…..”look here we don’t need any extra publicity right now. We’ve got a missing plane, family members are upset and angry and we don’t need visitors (extra press and fans) snooping around (being nosy) while we’re still trying to investigate what happened.”

That could be the mindset as to why they cancelled. You never know.

  3. It’s a messed up situation all around, without a doubt. However, my heart truly aches for those families who have no idea what truly happened to their loved ones. I can’t imagine living the rest of my life with that kind of question mark lingering. It’s so hard to believe that even in this day and age with all the high tech computer/satellite imagery we have access to, that a huge plane has just vanished without a trace. So mind boggling…..incredibly baffling.

  4. I can’t help but also feel terrible for all the fans who have spent a fortune to fly into Malaysia and stay there for the concert… 😦

Just a sad situation all around.
